Thanks for the info Dave. The year is good enough for me. 1992 is pretty old! Is there a particular year which was a good for Ernie ball musicman basses?
The newest ones are probaly the best but personally I love the late 80s/early 90s ones.

I'm reposting these together to have another shot at selling them. It's the middle two in the picture below: First up is the Peavey Millenium AC BXP in trans red with figured top. This is a great bass and has served me well. I used it for about two years and it has a small amount of wear shown in the pictures. It currently isn't working as one wire on the input jack has become disconnected, however this only needs a simple solder job to fix it. Tonally it is quite versitile with two peavey soapbar pickups and 3 band EQ. The neck is straight and easy to play. I payed £250 for it new so i'm looking for £100 in it's current condition. (Now SOLD) Secondly is the Cort Funkmachine II TM Stevens Signature Model. I've only used this just under a year before I got my stingray. It's a killer bass with built in funk wah and slap depth switches. It has two bartolini Mk 1 pups and bartolini Mk 2 preamp (full spec here). Really offers a wide range of tones, I can sit there for hours just discovering new sounds. My reason for selling/trading is just so I can try something new. The bass retails for around £800 so i'm looking for £350 which I think is fair. ................................................................. I'm open to trades. If your buying i'll accept paypal, cash or cheque. For any more info feel free to send me a PM any time. Cheers, Mat
This is indeed a great bass, I traded it with Waldo because I don't get on with Stingrays! Come on guys, someone must have a burning desire for a rare sparkly stringray?
I have the burning desire, just not the money. (not saying it's a bad price, in fact its a bloody awesome price, i'm just out of dough at the mo)

Love your stuff, this would be perfect for me if only I didn't live 120 milles away. Real shame, this is exactly the sort of thing i've been looking for. Anyway you've probably found someone by now. Hope all goes well. Mat

I've been japcrap hunting for a couple of months now but i've only just found this thread. Here's a couple i've found: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=320274405060 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=320274673542 -
From experience, DR lowriders are the best sounding longest lasting strings i've used. I wouldn't bother with fancy coloured strings.

This must be the best looking OLP i've ever seen, here on ebay.

I'm 16, guess i'm a grumpy smelly teenager too. Here are my four... Encore P-Bass (Thumper), Peavey Millenium AC BXP, Cort Funkmachine II, 1989 Stingray (Old Red) They're arranged left to right in the order of which I got them. The middle two are for sale.

Thats beautiful. The back of the neck looks amazing, I can kinda see it in the reflection of the mirror. Is it like that all down the back of the body? -

I bid on a tokai P bass on ebay, sadly didn't win (think its the Hard Puncher 'Lfalex' is talking about). Here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230270580597
That MM is still awesome.

Beautiful MM!
Is this 'MM' meaning Musicman or 'MM' meaning Marcus Miller? Either way they're both stunning basses.

Bongo single H basses have the pickup in the 'sweet spot' which is supposed to be more similar to the pickup placement on a stingray. Some people say HH musicmans are difficult to slap because of the pickup placement, so single H or HS would avoid that problem. And piezos pick up sound from the bridge saddles and allow you to switch to a more 'woody' sound, but they are a bit of an expensive option. See what you can try out and get whichever sounds and feels best for you.
Out of interest did anyone else spot this or place a bid on it?
I spotted it, didn't bid on it but I wish I had. When I have some money, instead of buying one really expensive bass, i'm gonna start collecting cheap lovely crappy vintage basses. -
