  1. Jefferson's Airplane / Starship?
  2. I'd suggest a Fender Rumble. I ended up with a Rumble 500 head after my GB Streamliner 800 died and I have to say I'm mightily impressed, great sound, loud and incredibly light.
  3. I tried Entwhistle pickups because at the price you can't go far wrong. I'm really glad that I did as they are superb and I'd say that they are as good as the EMG actives they replaced, actually, I think I prefer them.
  4. Have you all tried tuning to the same tuner? They're all supposed to be the same but quite often they're not. You get more 'lag' being the other side of the stage than from latency.
  5. Keyboards, so versatile and you get to sit down.
  6. Hate this sort of thing. It's just karaoke. Any decent guitarist doesn't need to thicken up his sound, just learn to play better. Anything on a backing track is totally unacceptable to me, so there!!!!!
  7. Many years ago we nicked, sorry borrowed, an excellent dolly from The Target in Reading, anyone else ever played there? We transported the dolly all over the UK and because of kerbs, steps, stairs etc., never used it once. The only place we were able to use it was at The Target, so we returned it to them with thanks.
  8. Heavily slagged off for being a Streamliner clone but you can't get a Streamliner anymore so seems like a good option to me. I'm going to get one when I'm rich again.
  9. 3 inch might be better as cracks in pavements etc, won't be noticed as much but you might have to raise the front of the cab a bit so that it's level. Another option is 4 wheels on the bottom of the cab and turn it on its side when in use it then becomes a high dolly and you can wheel loads of gear in at once.
  10. I've used those before, infact still got them on the bins, 2 inch. They work a treat.
  11. Sorry, but it looks like my ink stained desk top from school.
  12. I could do that for you. PM me if you're interested.
  13. You'll have to let us know if it works.
  14. Here you go, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLCAjcm84Ss worth a try!
  15. Fender P. Finally got one new in 1972. How disappointed was I.

  18. a couple of hours each way.
  19. Pickup placement plays a big part in the Ric sound. Copy the placement and use single coil pickups and you're mostly there. I've done it with jazz pickups, roundwounds and a pick. That's for my version of the Ric sound anyway.
  20. Go for it. I've had a couple and they're great.
  21. I like the sound of the Duncan Antiquity ll myself.
  22. I could make one of those for you. PM me if you're interested.

  24. Bought the Kindle version. Not going on holiday but I've just started a new series of 4 but I've got something to read when I've finished them.
