1. You could spend a lot less quids and buy some glasspaper and re-shape the baseball bat more to your liking.
2. I'd try fine wire wool and then T cut.
3. Been there and done that! Copydex is your friend. I put an equal amount on the opposite side of the speaker as well just to balance things up, just in case.
4. I was interested until I read that the speakers were not included!
5. Valve amps have an output transformer with various impedance taps, usually 16, 8 and 4 ohms. You set the impedance to match the cab(s). The full output is available in all impedances.
6. Bit complicated just to switch the echo on & off between songs. Is there no easier way?
7. Just a quick question for anyone using a digital mixer like the Soundcraft Ui 12, Behringer xair xr12, etc. Do any of them have the ability to switch the effects off remotely, like the old echo units that had a jack socket for a foot switch. If they don't, is it possible to switch the effects on & off remotely, if so, how? Thanks.
8. How does it compare to the 69er?
9. When I started playing there were only flats. When round wounds first became available they were a revelation, they were for me without a doubt. I've used nothing else since and the thought of going back to flat wounds fills me with dread and horror!
10. It's a short scale but still a bit long for him so he's mainly trying to play the dusty end but it's what he wanted, well, he wanted a red bass guitar with 2 pickups and a black scratch plate and it's the only one I could find that was short scale and didn't cost a fortune. He's uses a pick as well. I think that he might be heavily influenced by me but all the time he's into it I'll do my best to encourage him.
11. I bought my grandson Tom a G4M Seattle as a Christmas present, he's 5 and the bass is red with a black scratch plate, his specification and I have to say it's pretty good for the cash. Necks a bit chunky but a lot of people like that.
12. It's called drum wrap unsurprisingly and a google search will bring up thousands of finishes. On drums it's held on with double sided tape and the tension fittings.
13. Oh how I dream of having something like this!
14. Nice to hear praise for a change. Perhaps that's a good idea for a thread, customer service beyond what's necessary.
15.
Was it knackered?
Yes, totally. It was when Fender bought Genz Benz and before they sold it again. They gave me the Rumble as a replacement.
16. Rotos to Elite stadium 50-110 and stayed there.
17. Mine did that and it was the end, that's how I ended up with my Rumble 500 which I have to say I'm very happy with.
18. Midi bass pedals might be an option.
19. Don't forget, Hi Ho Silver Lining.
20. 50 - 110 elite stadium.
21. I swapped my EB3 for a Hoyer in a music shop when we played in Munich in 1978. Brilliant bass. Wish I still had it. Can't tell you anymore than that really, Sorry.
22. ?
23. Love everything from Deep Purple but if I've got to choose, Woman From Tokyo and Highway Star from Made in Japan. Oh that's 2, sorry.
24. Superb! They went on to form the all bass band as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN42uzNFVmQ
25.
Sadly, there was enough time for Red Red f***ing Whine.
+ 1million
