Can't fault my Line 6 Relay G30. No loss of tone at all. Better than a lead but you can set it to emulate a lead if you want.

Not yet I'm afraid. Mrs Bert's had an op, accounts had to be done and I've had a lot of orders on other things I make so running a bit behind at the moment.

Cut a cardboard box in half, corner to corner, so you end up with 2 pyramids. Cut a hole for the pole in the top. Paint black and you're done. Or, sell them for £199 the pair!

Do you need something to iron your clothes on ?

Respect. Far too many strings for me though. -
Townsend may not have been a great lead guitarist but surely the best rhythm player ever!

I would suggest that it's nothing to do with money but all to do with attitude and commitment. How you perform, the lack of faffing on stage. -
Anyone successfully using a Mackie DLM series rig?
bertbass replied to itsmedunc's topic in General Discussion
I once used a large touring Mackie rig of many 1000s of watts and was pretty underwhelmed to be honest. -
A bit of a pain to take a door to every gig just to use it though!

I've always found that the degree of GAS is proportionally related to the number of gigs, i.e., 2 or more gigs a week, no GAS. No gigs, enormous GAS!

If it's still working, it won't be the fuse. -
If you can find pages from a 60s Bells catalogue that will give you a good idea but a couple off the top of my head are Egmond and Top 20. Just thought of another one, Commodore.

The kits are on hold at the moment as I'm process of making them even easier to build and hopefully a bit cheaper!

Indeed they are.

Greatest bassists in rock history... Used Marshall amps?
bertbass replied to dishwallascot's topic in General Discussion
Don't forget me! 2 x 60s Superbass 100 heads and 4 x Sound City 4 x 12s. Just glorious. I preferred the Sound City cabs to the Marshall because they distorted less. I also used the heads with 4 x Vox Foundation cabs, 1 x 18s, and they sounded great as well. No roadies either! Had Hiwatt, Sound City, Selmer, Simms Watts, Impact and Fender to name but a few. All valve of course. Tried the early transistor heads but they were all a bit lacking in volume and sounded pretty crap!- 38 replies

Excellent selection of left handed basses you have there. Both of them look very nice! -
I'd be tempted but far too much lacing for me!

Snowflake? Marmalade sandwich? I must have lived a very sheltered life. I've got no idea what you're talking about!
