Can you pay subscription by PayPal? Does this only happen when you plan to sell something?
Paypal yes and I paid when I wasn't listing something so yes, you can pay anytime :-)
I probably shouldn't point out that whenever Ped say's "I'll buy you dinner" it generally arrives in the form of a URL to Greggs website when they've updated their photos...
His poor girlfriend!!
They don't rely on 'luck'. They have gaffa tape and blu-tak...
and hopefully enough pasties now due to the subscription dosh

Good luck bc-behind-the-scenes-crew!

They're speakon only matey, I'd suggest having Obbm make you up a proper speakon cable or two for you to connect it up to whatever connection your cab/cabs have
My brother plays in a band in Shef. The Winnebago's. I'll find out off him and let you know!

A quick Google didn't throw much up but the Red Deer, Uni Arms, West St Live and the Broadfield seem to do open mic stuff, although it doesn't say what night they're on. I thought the Red House did too.

I'm Rotherham side which I guess is the wrong side for you Andy. There's 2 Thursday night ones that I occasionally frequent, the Hay Nook in Kimberworth and the Yellow Lion at Greasborough.
Thanks guys, all help gratefully received I am in a band but we play and practice very sporadically (3-4 gigs a year, practice almost once a month), I'd like to meet a few new muso types to play with a little more regularly...
As it's a 10 minute walk from my house, it seems rude not to go and try it out. I just wonder how my tiny girly hands will cope with a 6 string....
Cya tmrw matey! It's the first 6 string I ever enjoyed playing, it's a really easy neck and my hands aren't over large
I can't believe it. I would have snapped this had it been on a month ago. I just spent £400 on a bass and am now skint. Gutted.
That's severely bad timing on my part matey, sorry about that! ...for mobile users...I'm in Sheffield

[s]Kind of a feeler in that I love this bass and it plays really really nicely, I'd just kinda like it to be a slightly shorter scale so it's easier to switch between this and my ACG...that's the only reason for sale! Spec: Macassar ebony fingerboard, AAA flame maple top, Honduras mahogany/wenge neck and body, MM pickup Passive Vol/Tone 35" scale Sound: Perfect fretless! excellent 'mwah' and superbly punchy mids, this is a brilliant bass, the low b is top notch and the high c is very pleasingly matched volume wise to the rest, very sweet indeed! Feel: It's so light you almost forget you're wearing it! I'll weigh it tonight to find out but I've never held so light a bass!! Pics: Teeny issue: There's a slight manufacturing issue with the fret markers on the fingerboard above the octave where Jon ever so slightly cut the slots too long for the inlays, he was very apologetic about it and you can in no way feel them when playing, or in fact even see them unless it's pointed out to you! That's why it's so cheap!! There are no other issues with this bass, it's in precisely the same condition as when it left Jon's garage/workshop! I will be ordering another Letts to replace this and it will have virtually the same spec (apart from the scale length) £400 collected It will have a decent gig-bag when it leaves me.[/s]
The power conditioner won't do a lot except tell you what the voltage is or more likely what it isn't. If you have to use a generator, the best bet is is to make sure that your equipment is the only thing running off of it even then it may not give enough power.

If it is a generator, it's a voltage regulator or inverter you'll need, not a power conditioner. A good generator will utilise an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator).
So, what you're saying is....there's nothing we can do about the quality or consistency of the power if it's a genny and it's best to take some solid state amp rather than something valvey?

I know there're quite a few Sheffield folks on here...no-one got any info?
