1.
Empty bank account is one thing ( and I do appreciate my basses ) ...but I also have severe case of GAS ....is there no hope?!!
no money + GAS = trades time!
2. A few years back I had a HA3500 head and a pair of 4.5XL cabs and it sounded superb to me, I then heard an Eden WT800 210XLT and 410XLT together at a conference and it blew by Hartke stack away! so much fuller sounding with way sweeter top end! I've never had that sound since with any of my lightweight combinations (I've yet to try Barefaced / EAD properly though )
3.
Awesome. Very clear and articulate, quite HiFi really, but with loads of bottom end. If you back off the mid and horn you can get a really nice "creamy" bass tone out of it. I tend to leave the Mid/High attenuators in the 12 o' clock position and just tweak the amp for the surrounding acoustics. I really cuts through the mix and is built like a tank. Certainly sorted out my Cab GAS.

Thanks. I was hoping you might say "It's OK, but overpriced for what it does - not as good as a BF Vintage...".
This is NOT helping my cab GAS one bit!!!!!
4. ...and before him it was mine, I commissioned it from the worthy Martin of MJW (was Martamp then) and it really is a beauty! Sounds brilliant, if I had a bigger house (rather than one full of children) I'd have this baby back cos I've not heard an amp it's equal!
5. Any trades? Fancy a fretless j?
6. currently a pair of Epifani UL2-112 but I'd like to go for a single 2x12 (Barefaced/EAD/Epifani)...
7.
Hi Andy, I've been looking for a p-bass for a while now and I've just seen you're post and think I'd be interested in taking it off your hands. Cheers, Dan
I'll drop you a pm
8. Someone on here was wanting one of these earlier tgis week...have a shuftie through the wanteds
9.
This will be gone by the end of today!!! Great basses, if I had a spare £400 I'd take it.

Agreed superb bit of kit, well worth the asking price !
Thanks guys, it's a corker!
10. this is super sweet! I love dark woods, subtle but elegant!!
11. That looks lovely! (this is also my favourite build thread so far as all the stages to date have been nice and close together so there's no wading through pages of other folks being congratulatory in order to see the goods!)
12. that does look good indeed!
13. If you've had it from new can you not take it back under the 14 days 'i changed my mind' rules?
14. [s]This is just a feeler at the mo as I need to raise some cash to pay a bill (same old story all over at the mo innit!)...I'm hoping my Geddy fretless will sell instead so I can keep this but... My sunburst 2008 Fender Highway One P-bass, the one with the Badass II bridge, and greasebucket circuitry (when you roll the tone back it just takes the treble out and doesn't wool everything up - very consistent sounding!) I got this very recently on a trade and it's really nice to play, the neck has played in perfectly and feels just right under the hand now! Since it's arrival I've given it a damn good clean, lemon-oiled the fingerboard and removed loads of old finger scuzz from it...I've also added a tort scratchplate (the original off-white one is also included) and a set of Lakland Joe Osborn flats...it now plays and feels lovely! condition is really good, there are a couple of very minor dings just above the bridge (see photos) and a small area where the finish has simply eroded on the bottom edge (see photos), there's no bash here it's smooth so I can only presume it's worn away...that's the beauty of the thin skin nitro finish, this bass will relic itself as you play it! It comes in the gig-bag that it was delivered in, a suitable weather cover but not massively protective. I can ship if needed and do have sufficient cardboard and bubble wrap to see it safely to somewhere in the UK. numbers time...£400 collected or I'll ship (uk only) at buyers cost.[/s]
15. I loved the sound I had from the Eden 410XLT and 210XLT I had when running together with the WT800 that I had at the time, a very full sound, huge range, made everything I played sound awesome! I like my Genz Shuttle 9.0 and pair of Epi UL2-112 cabs now and they do sound superb 'in the mix' but I've a hankering for an S12-T or an EAD Foundation 212, I know there's more sound to be had cos I had it with the back breaking Eden stuff!
16. Niiiiiice!!!
17. In the original threads about these (back end of 2011) the following was said by the chappie from Bassgear: This is a luthier-made bass for the street price of a US Fender!!! Spacing is 100mm between the centre of each pup to the next. Colour, Amber Tiger (2011) I understand they were about £900 new so this is a superb price!
18. I can't believe the MIM ones are £900 new! That's ridiculous!! That said, this is a great price compared to the new price!! Not sure how these MIM ones compare with the MIJ but the MIJ are stunning so I reckon these must be pretty special too!
19. My drummer and I take it in turn to cart each other about, we always help each other in with our gear and chip in to get each other set up as quickly as possilbe...even the singers help out with setting up and packing down the drums!
20.
So, collection preferred, but would you courier it?
Having been in trade discussions with Liam, yes he was going to courier it to me, I've had to back out due to a car insurance bill arriving, I can confirm he's a total gent and really speedy on replying to pm's! Whoever gets this will be getting a piece of Shuker history and a truly gorgeous bass!
21. very lovely indeed! The angle of the a string as it passes over the nut looks quite extreme, I'm sure it's fine but it 'looks' harsh in the pic
22.
That's one...
tru-dat! very nice though! I wonder if he'll mention how much they might be when they both appear on here?
