Did a deal with Davidn-smith a while back and just spotted he's replied to my feedback in his thread rather than on my thread so here's a link to his comment... [s]Just got this on a trade and while it's seriously awesome I can already tell it's not going to be my kind of thing, you know when you 'just know'... It's in outstanding condition (virtually pristine apart from where the name is starting to wear off the pickups and there's a small scratch in the lacquer near the pots) and comes with the original warranty card and Status hard shell case! Walnut body, flamed maple top. Clear polyester finish. Moulded graphite through neck. Status TB4Z circuit and Hi-resolution pickups. Controls are volume, blend, treble (cut/boost) and bass (cut/boost) with a preamp bypass mini toggle Pics from previous owner: (I'll take some of my own asap) I was shocked at how amazing it's condition was for a 20 year old bass! It was born on 8th December 1992!! Having done a bit of t'internet searching the value looks to be around £1000 inc insured uk shipping, anyone interested? any offers? Trade options I'd consider would be a Lakland 44-02 (+ cash my way), Genz Streamliner 900 (+ cash my way) or Markbass LMIII (+ cash my way), that said...what you got? I'd really like to have some cash in as part of any trade though.[/s]

Hercules Stands and Nitro finished basses
andydye replied to Old Horse Murphy's topic in Bass Guitars
The first FAQ on this page
So...no and maybe then "As a professional stand manufacturer, HERCULES goes to great lengths to provide the highest quality and the most secure stands. HERCULES had conducted numerous experiments on our SFF foam and is pleased to find that it does not react with most of the guitar finishes in the market, including Nitrocellulose. The tests included subjecting the instruments on the stand to heat, cold and normal temperatures for periods of up to six months without movement. However, each manufacturer has their own formulation of Nitrocellulose, with differing proportions of the chemicals involved. There are literally thousands of different variations of lacquer in use today, making it impossible to test them all. Therefore, to provide your valuable guitars with the best support, we recommend you to refer to your instrument's owners manual for more information regarding the proper storage of your instrument." -

CatalinBread SFT - help me eliminate squeal
andydye replied to Lifer's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've been looking at the Diago Micropower 9 funnily enough, looks good and if no squeal on 9v they do an adaptor which allows it to run at 18v.
The adaptor is another cool thing about diago! I've got a variety of adaptors in use with my powerstation, several 18v ones too! I might have a spare one at the mo as I sold one of my 18v pedals -

So...I just received my two new basses, ACG Recurve S Type 6 and a Letts 6 string fretless, both beautiful, both have lovely playable necks, neither will fit in my 'grabby hercules stands'!! They're just too wide for the gap!! therefore...I need some new stands if I'm going to play them outside the house (which I am)...help basschat! I need some options of similar quality to the hercules stands!
