1.
Hi Andy, afraid not. No need for more basses, cheers Harry
Ah well, if someone will please buy my fretless jazz I'll have this off you!
  2. usually a couple of very minor ones either bum notes that I can easily slide out of without anyone noticing or badly fretted notes that don't sound cleanly and are easily fixed... there are always more than I'd like but equally always less than is needed for anyone else to notice! I did once play an absolute howler where I played the chorus chords under a verse while headlining at the Monarch in Camden...I was mortified! It sounded awful...no bugger else noticed!!
  3.
That's great to hear matey The asymmetric profile is genius, combined with the flat fingerboard I assume yours has, you get a very VERY comfortable 6 string bass. Due to me being a wee guy, I opted for a slimmer nut profile than usual too, at 52mm, just like a classical guitar, which makes the thing even easier to play - the beauty of a custom instrument Finger crossed I'll be speccing up a 6 string fretless at some point next year, hopefully I can plump for the ACG EQ 03 for it too Eude
Assymetric and flat is easily the best feeling neck I've ever met! The eq03 is sublime! The active/passive switch is barely noticeable volume wise and the passive tone stack still works when in passive mode...genius!
  4.
Aaaaahhhhh! My fretless ACG build seems to be progressing well (same pre) and seeing this just increases the anticipation. I'll have to go and lie down in the dark with a damp flannel on my head now.
You're going to love it! Don't forget to breathe Took it to a practice last night and it was just soooo good, any sound I needed was just there (60's thump, modern poppy slap, everything), and, despite being a 6 string I had absolutely no hand ache afterwards! The asymmetric neck profile is perfect!
  5. Any trades for basses matey?
  6.
Just lovely. I own Gallas No1 now and will not ever be parting with it. What a builder. Need more - yeah yeah - more more, brother.
Thanks matey! The more I play it the better it feels and sounds!! I have a notional spec for a second one but it's a few years away due to cash availability issues :-(
  7. Date stamp should be on the inside of the neck pocket, that's where it is on mine...
  8. Alex bought one of my drum cases, speedy payment, great comms, hasle free sale, thanks matey!

    Help BC

I too have no need of a lanyard so I bought one (and a t-shirt)...keep up the good work BC!
  10. try it, you might like it, and if not, don't do it again?
  11. ...try switching your pedals around so the tuner's first? (that might help as Boss are buffered whereas SFT is true bypass)

  13.
Don't know if it's just me, but I can't seem to see the classifieds on the mobile version of the site.
Me too, wonder if it's a general 'not finished yet' type thing...?
  14. Maybe a withdrawn button rather than a delete one? Mods periodically delete completed threads anyway doncha :-)
  15. There's also no option to delete/withdraw a listing once it's posted There's a chance this might make for misleading stats in the future when you say how many items have sold compared to how many donations have been received
  16.
That's right. I've disabled it for the time being. It'll cost £1.75 and your advert will have a picture rather than a grey box in the forum index. It'll help people see what's for sale and help people shift their items! There were some preview links in post #1 but now the test site has closed so they don't work. Cheers
very reasonably priced, hopefully it's something I can switch add to the items as part of an edit (when you get it up and runnin)
  17.
Yeah, still, our hope is that people will take advantage of the gallery view option when the upload system is ready. We'll see how it goes - if nobody uses it then we'll have to re-think how the forum is financed.
Gallery view...that'd be the bit that's not working then cos I didn't see that option in there?
  18.
The image upload system is borked so I think the section is rather quiet at the moment. As soon as it's 100% ready we'll close the old section and it'll become a lively and colorful affair
Adding links to pics on flickr works fine in the new classifieds and you can still use any images you've previously uplodaded onto bc I had no trouble listing my couple of bits
  19.
Hi mate thanks for the comments. I'm sure that's possible, yes - alternatively you could post the same advert in both sections, perhaps for the time being. Cheers
It'd be a useful addition matey, I didn't want to list it all twice cos I didn't want to flood the new classifieds with 'me'...there's not much on there yet but it's growing by the minute, come on folks...embrace the change and let's run with it!
  20. I've just plopped my stuff into the new classifieds section and marked my 'for sale' threads as 'listed in new classifieds section', very simple to use, liking it so far! One question, if an item is for sale but I'd happily accept trades that's not a possible choice as it can be 'for sale' or 'for swapsies'...is this something that can be changed in the future?
  21. Listed in new classifieds sections... http://basschat.co.uk/classifieds/item/27-lakland-55-02-naturalmaple-pristine-hsc/
  22. SIT Nickel powerwound for me
  23.
Might be interested if it'll fit on a Dingwall, need to do a bit of research!
I wish you luck in your search matey!
  24.
Mr Dye. You are more than welcome to borrow the beech 5 string fretted if you're willing to pay the postage.
Awful kind of you mate, I may take you up on that once my current brood have settled in a bit
  25.
This will probably be mine later today (just waiting 'till i get home from work to transfer the money), i think this will be a great combo with my recently aquired Markbass F1. Thanks Urb!
Congrats matey!
