1. any pics matey? they always help with a sale
  2.
ish I'm coming more from the point of why would someone pick one over the other more than anything. Although I would definitely agree to the ACG feeling modern
I would choose a Letts for a fretless and an ACG for a fretted, different strengths, the Letts is a superb very organic, woody sound, perfect for fretless warmth, the ACG is sublime for clarity and punch and has a jaw dropping preamp I would really like to try an ACG fretless and a fretted Letts though to see how well each translate to the other...
  3.
Out of interest how does it compare to your ACG?
both amazing but very different beasts, ACG - super crisp and uber high quality yet still handmade, a very modern machine with star trek preamp! Letts - tactile, you just want to touch it it feels so nice under the hand, a very sensual shape for a very simple and classic approach to guitar building... does that help?
Incidentally, through the software updates we've just lost the guests/members/anonymous users count at the bottom of the home page.
....still there at the mo (in full version anyway) 154 members, 690 guests, 19 anonymous users

interestingly it looks like there are generally 4 times as many guests on here than there are members! What can guests actually see on here?
  7.
i will get some pics of mine at the weekend and stick them up.
looking forward to seeing those pics matey
p.s. Andy your bass looks amazing.
very kind of you to say so, thanks
  8.
It all depends on what people want to do for this. A venue would be an easy thing to come by it's just stuff to do etc. ooo and beer
Having never 'bass-bashed' I've no idea what kind of thing goes on, I'd imagine: - somewhere to have a gander at everyone's gear and natter about it, - some kind of 'on the day swap-shop', - mebbe a raffle, - some industry types telling us how amazing their stuff is (EAD perhaps cos they're only from Preston which is fairly close?) - some jamming opportunity?? - some local food and drink establishment (possibly the venue could be that establishment?) ...does that sound summat like?
  9.
That is one great looking bass, and great sounding no doubt.
It's a corker mate!
  10. Is there an easy mid point in Yorkshire that we can all get to within an hours drive? I guess that means Leeds then doesn't it...?
  11. Shop's vanished again boss Does this mean I'll soon be able to buy some new species of BC bitsnbobs
  12.
This is lovely. Almost as lovely as mine, even!
Praise indeed matey!
  13. Sold pending the usuals...woohoo :-)
  14.
Whats with the odd string? A
He had a bit of a pickle finding strings to fit, they're all rotosound and sound fine together which is ok for now, I'll replace them withnsomething more to my liking when these die.
  15.
Wow, just wow! You've got yourself a hot pair of basses, there. GAS now sorted?
Glad you likey, I'm very happy with them both (is an understatement!) I might need a cheapy for knock about practices mebbe a squier cv or summat similar but bass wise my big guns are definately sorted matey yes!!
  16.
Very impressive bit of luthiery there. Enjoy!
He's rather good that Jon boy, ta matey!
  17.
I wouldn't know where to start if I was playing a 6er but that is gorgeous. My 5s are enough of a handful (no pun intended) already! But yes, if I ever happen to have some dosh to spare, I could do much worse than throw it at Letts with an order for a nice lefty 5er...
Glad you likey I didn't know whether I'd cope with 6 rather than my usual 5 but actually I have no problem playing them at all, for years I thought I hted 6 string basses but it was just that I'd never tried one with a nice enough neck before! I can now play more notes per position and can be really lazy and not move my hand around nearly so much, hurrah!
  18. Lush! I love my pair of UL112-2 cabs
  19. these are superb drive/boost/preamp pedals, a really transparent way of adding drive to your tone!
  20.
Just been checking these out. They look pretty cool. Does anyone on here have one? They make me think of les claypool.
I now have one, as do quite a few others all of a sudden...

  22.
Think this is the nicest of Alan's range, just love the body shape. Heard that filter takes a while to get your head around, but once you do theres no looking back. Congrats!
Thanks matey, I'm so impressed with the preamp, it's enormously powerful! and yes it is taking a little while to get my head round but I'm already able to dial in appropriate sounds relatively quickly inbetween songs...time will only improve my ease with this monster!
  23.
Oh. My. God.
lovely isn't it try to get yourself on one of his future bc deals, they're seriously amazing!
