1.
How to edit header to mark as sold?
easiest on a pc mate, click to edit your post and then click on 'use full editor' and you're in...
 2. I've had lots of 34" scalebasses (fender, g&l, stingray - 4 & 5 string, rick...) and a couple of 35" (5 string warwick nt thumb and my current Lakland 55-02), I love the feel and sound of my Lakland but my hands to start to ache after a while with the increased stretching over the more usual 34" scale, I'm looking forward to trying a couple of 34" ACGs this next week (one 5 and one 6 string) to see what they're like with the slightly reduced tension and much easier scale length over my 35"ers. The basic difference is in the feel of how the bass plays... the frets are further apart (slightly) on a 35" bass which down at the nut end makes quite a difference on stretches, this is currently making my hands ache on long sessions a longer neck tuned to the same notes gives a slightly firmer feel to the strings somehow (taut b is what folks usually go on about), this can be got over by using different strings on a 34" bass so isn't necessarily a reason to have one or the other
 3. Howard fitted a new fretless jazz neck (modified/carved by hand and beautifully sprayed up) onto my Geddy body, he also provided me with a replacement scratchplate in BWB and a new wiring loom to replace the modded one that's currently installed! The man is a truly honourable gent and an excellent craftsman! Exellent advice throughout the decision process and thoroughly recommended!
 4.
Yes, I'm on mobile - no location shown in the profile. I'm in St Albans, so not all that near...
Locations don't show on the mobile version for any profiles, it's pretty irritating tbh but it's the mobile software I suspect
 5.
Where are you based? I'd be interested if I could give it a try through my cab.
I guess you're on your mobile then (I can't see locations on the mobile version either)...his location is stated as:

Location:Margate, Kent
9.
Thanks Andy but won't be selling unfortunately! I absolutely love the Midget, just don't need the tweeter!
Bobbins ah well I wish you good hunting in finding a suitable trade matey, if all else fails you can just leave it switched off
 10.
Now if the 55-02 had been fretless, I would have had your hand off quicker than you can imagine! Its a mirror of my own fretted one...
sorry mate, I did ask Lakland about replacement fretless necks for the 55-01 I had and it wasn't that much more to get a new bass!!
 11. [s]For sale as I've been to visit Alan in Moffat and have come away having bought one of his basses so I need both cash and to make some space in the house pdq!! This is for my beloved Lakland 55-02 std in Natural with Maple fingerboard, plays and sounds superb, if I could I'd keep this one. Pristine condition, no dings at all, it has lived in its hiscox hardcase since I received it in April this year, has been gigged twice and been to about 3 practices...no-one else has touched it but me! 16. I really want one of these but need my stuff to sell first
 17.
Glad you got it working dude Andy
Thanks for reminding me to check the obvious stuff I'd missed completely
 18.
nothing wrong there then, ive only tried the octave on a standard tuned four string, so not sure how it handles the low b. is strange how for it to sound ok you need to have extreme settings on it tho!? as ive said before have you tried it of the board? andy
I had it all in bits last night, tried the tlc solo, got it set up nice then added the octamizer in and it went wappy again so I tarted about with just those two for a while, changing their order to see if it made a difference...once I worked out the setting I needed for clean octave I started adding the other pedals back in, one at a time until I had it all back up and working A
 19.
do you play in a weird tuning? or a drop tuning can't, has the new order made the tlc behave? andy
Standard tuning, low b to g, nothing weird at all, preamp generally flat or slightly bumped mids...
 20. So...I've reordered the chain to be: Tuner>OctaMizer>tlc>sft>ppb>bmc>unichorus Which sounds way better to me. ...I've found and replaced a very dodgy georgeL (with a cheap thing that'll do for now) interconnect which cured most of the dreadful noises ...and following that I have to have the OctaMizer's octave filter hard left to avoid farty noises if I play hard Am not entirely set on this order as I can't use the OctaMizer and ppb at the same time cos the ppb doesn't like the octaved signal and goes into mega mush... ...more tinkering required...and some new georgeL cable too
 21. Dan bought an ehx diago adaptor from me, nice n easy, no problems, thanks matey!
 22. Craig bought a bunch of random strings from me, all good news, no problems at all, thanks matey!
