1.
Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. I posted this question on TalkBass.com and all I got was one reply saying "Figure it out yourself", obviously if I could figure it out myself I wouldn't ask, lol So it is A, C & E and G, B & D. ?
Ain't no such thing as a stupid question matey so no worries there Yep, those are the notes, have fun
 2.
I just pcked up my guitar to check, and I'm now pretty sure its A (or more likely Am) and G major.
Am G, that's it, I think I was still half asleep when I looked at it earlier
 3.
Thats right of course.... must get some specs sorted! The first barre could be major or minor as written The second could be a C minor with G bass, maybe?
Sorry if my post sounded terse, there should have been a couple of smileys in there matey! Fixed now The notes played are the 1, 3, 5 triad for each chord aren't they?
 4.
they are partial A and G barre chords (in that order)
Are they not more like bits of Am and C barre chords? The actual notes are A, C & E and G, B & D...
 5.
A 6'er! WOW! Good luck. You're gonna need the practice time to get used to that bad boy!
It's a whole bunch of alterations to the shapes I've had for years but at least it's so easy to play
 6. I went to visit Alan last week and nr 0100 is coming to live in my house! http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/19/
 7.
Very exciting man! Glad you managed to get ACG for yourself!
Cheers matey, it's a beaut!! http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Available/19/
 8. summats gotta go as I've got an ACG coming next week!
 9.
Fancy a Markbass R500 which can growl nice and valve-like...?
Hiya, Hadn't considered one of those, pm me with the trade value you'd be looking at for your r500 and we'll see how we get on...I've no cash to put to as have just bought an acg so need to get cash in to pay for it, i also need to make some room, amps are fairly small though arent they ;-) I can't see your location on the mobile version, are you UK based?
 10.
Cheers for that, but I've got a separate head+cabs setup and I just loved the 'turning up with amp in one hand, bass in the other' approach to last night.
the sixpack has wheels and a luggage handle so you could still do that but lifting it is a proper bugger
 11. I had a fantastic experience with PJB & Synergy (who were the uk distributors iirc) when I had my sixpack, it was a superb amp but too chuffin heavy for me to lug up and down stairs for my back to stay happy! Rather than get the combo I'd get the M500 head and a cab or two! If you love the sound they're amazing amps, seriously bomb proof construction and outstanding quality!
 12.
I can vouch for Mr bigjohnson. He's a top man, and the amp really is like new. I'm hoping somebody offers him a bass in a trade deal for the amp, as his Ibanez SGR is pants!
He's welcome to trade for any of my basses on here (p-bass, Lakland 55-02, Fender Geddy/BassDoc fretless) with suitable cash adjustments in either direction depending...
 13.
How to edit header to mark as sold?
easiest on a pc mate, click to edit your post and then click on 'use full editor' and you're in...
 14. I've had lots of 34" scalebasses (fender, g&l, stingray - 4 & 5 string, rick...) and a couple of 35" (5 string warwick nt thumb and my current Lakland 55-02), I love the feel and sound of my Lakland but my hands to start to ache after a while with the increased stretching over the more usual 34" scale, I'm looking forward to trying a couple of 34" ACGs this next week (one 5 and one 6 string) to see what they're like with the slightly reduced tension and much easier scale length over my 35"ers. The basic difference is in the feel of how the bass plays... the frets are further apart (slightly) on a 35" bass which down at the nut end makes quite a difference on stretches, this is currently making my hands ache on long sessions a longer neck tuned to the same notes gives a slightly firmer feel to the strings somehow (taut b is what folks usually go on about), this can be got over by using different strings on a 34" bass so isn't necessarily a reason to have one or the other
 15. Howard fitted a new fretless jazz neck (modified/carved by hand and beautifully sprayed up) onto my Geddy body, he also provided me with a replacement scratchplate in BWB and a new wiring loom to replace the modded one that's currently installed! The man is a truly honourable gent and an excellent craftsman! Exellent advice throughout the decision process and thoroughly recommended!
 16.
Yes, I'm on mobile - no location shown in the profile. I'm in St Albans, so not all that near...
Locations don't show on the mobile version for any profiles, it's pretty irritating tbh but it's the mobile software I suspect
 17.
Where are you based? I'd be interested if I could give it a try through my cab.
I guess you're on your mobile then (I can't see locations on the mobile version either)...his location is stated as:

Location:Margate, Kent
18. I got this very recently thinking I'd have a go at installing it and having looked at it last night I just know I'm never going to get round to doing it so...here it is for sale...epic fail on my part! It's brand new, pristine, unused, still attached to the board packing only opened to take the pics... They're £84 shipped from BassDirect and £88 from AllParts, BC can have it for [s]£65[/s] [s]£60[/s] £50 inc uk shipping...
 19.
So presumably this has Lakland-branded pickups and not Barts ?
Yes Indeedy
 20. Another superb deal done with mike, easy and stress free, trustworthy chap!
 21.
Thanks Andy but won't be selling unfortunately! I absolutely love the Midget, just don't need the tweeter!
Bobbins ah well I wish you good hunting in finding a suitable trade matey, if all else fails you can just leave it switched off
 22.
Now if the 55-02 had been fretless, I would have had your hand off quicker than you can imagine! Its a mirror of my own fretted one...
sorry mate, I did ask Lakland about replacement fretless necks for the 55-01 I had and it wasn't that much more to get a new bass!!
 23. [s]For sale as I've been to visit Alan in Moffat and have come away having bought one of his basses so I need both cash and to make some space in the house pdq!! This is for my beloved Lakland 55-02 std in Natural with Maple fingerboard, plays and sounds superb, if I could I'd keep this one. Pristine condition, no dings at all, it has lived in its hiscox hardcase since I received it in April this year, has been gigged twice and been to about 3 practices...no-one else has touched it but me! £900 bacs/PayPal gift, inc UK shipping and case[/s]
 24. If you decide to sell instead I'm interested matey...
 25.
I really want money, but need to sell my stuff first....!
