1. Fancy a trade for my geddy/bassdoc fretless matey?
  2. ...one's pretty good but way overpriced and the other is excellent value for money? ...maybe... ;-)
  3.
I may be wrong but I think that this is a series 1 cab
I think you're right matey, my series 2's say series 2 on them I think...
  4. Hiya, if it's still around would you consider a trade for the fretless linked in my sig?
  5. Conversely I can see the pics via the link despite being on my mobile. ..makes a change for me! Free bump for a great cab, I have a pair of these and they sound superb! This is half-ish the price of a new one!!
  6. Nice find, will watch when I have a moment...
  7. I listened to the full thing this morning, even more technical that the last release, some interesting timings, more excellent production!
  8.
So did I.
9. Is this gone or is it still around? You really are the nearest S12-T to me so I'm going to have to put curiousity to bed by visiting you real soon!!
  10.
In that case a Barefaced Super Twelve will make you a deliriously ecstatic Oryctolagus cuniculus - there's no doubt about it.
you're a smartypants aren't you matey! I had to look that up to understand it!
  11.
Ok, first impressions; F*CK!!! This thing can play! It's seriouly loud. One of the things i was affraid was not having enough low end (having owned a Midget in the past) but there's no reason to worry about that. A full range sound, well balanced, enough low end (i say enough because it won't be the best cab for dub) very clear mids and some of the best highs i've heard in ages. Really good, i can't wait to cracnk the volume on tonight's gig! Comparing to the Epis i can say that this cab is more balanced and doesn't suffer from the scoop in the mids that Epi has. The low end is close to the one un the UL212 and so is the weight (i'm a small guy and could carry it during a short distance in one hand). I would say that the Barefaced will cut more in the mix and will sound a bit louder, its all about the mids, the scoop on the Epis is probably the best designed one i've heard, it really sounds great but i prefer that my cabs put out what's going in and the S12 is excelent at that. More to come, still have to pass the gig test!

lol, no man, STL-9.0 means Shuttle 9.0, i believe that the streamliner is named STM-900 or something similar But to answer your question i'll be using the Thunderfunk, i'm loving it, its more open than the shuttle and doesn't sound as compressed but i wont be parting the Shuttle any time soon, it's the best digital amp i've tried and has a very clean sound. I believe this calls for another bit of bass porn: cheers
Thanks for the initial observations matey! I'm really looking forward to your thoughts on using it with your Shuttle (that's the same one I've got so that'd be the sound I got!) am so tempted!!
I think you should probably sort out some more pictures ;-)
it's is rather important that there be lost more pics, I agree

Alan makes very lovely things! Congrats on a happy delivery!!
  14. Indeedy!
  15.
Close, i had a UL212 - series 2 and briefly also had a UL210 - series 1 on loan. I'll do my best to explain the diferences.
that'd be fab, ta matey!
  16.
If you want a more focused low end you could swap out the valves or, better still, just change the amp. The GB STL 9.2 would be a good high powered alternative. I'd also consider a Markbass LM3 and Aguilar TH500. I'd keep the cab though.
Lots of folks seem to use the s12-t with a markbass, try borrowing one to try with your cab and see how you get on?

  18. Have any of you guys gone from 2 Epi UL112-2 cabs to an S12-T? If so tell me more as am wavering!
  19. pm'd
  20. Not sure of the precise wording on the ban and a mod can probably clarify but I thought you could show pics but not of the whole headstock? you could take pics showing almost all of the body and picking up any major issues with it and also a shot of part of the headstock being careful not to show it's shape maybe? free bump anyways...and welcome to bc!
  21. I have a bassdoc bwb one for my geddy that I've never put on, hence it's going spare if youre interested?
  22. Well, I really enjoyed your last one so I'll give this one a listen too...ordered!
  23.
Aye, normally I would go for secondhand but there seems to be very little of anything I want at the minute, though patience is a virtue and all that! Does anyone have a Genz benz focus 112?
It's always the way, when you don't want summat it's all over the place but as soon as you want one they dry up quicksmart! Hope you find one matey!
  24. there are probably loads of s/h cabs at that price point on here just now, have a quick shufty through the for sale listings and see what you can find, you'll get summat better for your money!
