5. I'm looking at a cheap passive bass to take to pubs when playing so's I don't have to take my ACG 6'er...a quick google on my selected bass brought up lookat.com and they current;y have some rather stupid prices (like half the normal retail price!!) so before I press the button I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them and whether they were scheisters or genuine...? Anyone??
6. Having seen but not heard a ubass before watching that vid can now hear/see the attraction! I'd like one of those little fellas!!
7. That looks exactly like one that was listed on here earlier today!
8. If I was to part this out it'd probably go something like this...(prices include UK shipping) Ebony fretless J neck (incl hipshot ultralite tuners) - £300 Fully loaded Geddy Jazz body (incl all the below) - £300 Geddy Jazz Body (incl control plate, spare wiring loom, neck plate and bolts) - £200 Schaller high mass bridge - £50 Dimarzio Model J Pickups - £80 So it's a steal at £500 inc uk shipping for all of the above isn't it? If someone offers me anything over £450 (inc uk shipping) we've got a deal and I can buy myself a little G&L tribute JB-2 to play with...
9. Do you know if he's been on bc recently? You can have a gander at his profile and his content which will show you his last login date and also what he's been posting on of late too...
10.
ooh, i cant see the pictures in your thread on my iphone, could you email me some? roboant AT gmail.com would you be interested in trades/partial trades on this body? or is there anything else you're after? got loads of pedals
pm'd matey
11.
Now then ....are you in the market to trade for a DB ?!!
alas no my friend, there's a good chance that one of the other 14 quadrillion members might be though?
12. I have (for sale/trades) a geddy body (black) with schaller bridge and dimarzio model j pickups that is currently married to a fretless neck with hipshot ultralites tuners (done by our BassDoc), it sounds exactly like what you're after! (it just needs a tort scratchplate putting on)... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/191309-price-drop-fsft-fender-geddy-bassdoc-fretless-jazz/page__fromsearch__1
13.
Empty bank account is one thing ( and I do appreciate my basses ) ...but I also have severe case of GAS ....is there no hope?!!
no money + GAS = trades time!
14. A few years back I had a HA3500 head and a pair of 4.5XL cabs and it sounded superb to me, I then heard an Eden WT800 210XLT and 410XLT together at a conference and it blew by Hartke stack away! so much fuller sounding with way sweeter top end! I've never had that sound since with any of my lightweight combinations (I've yet to try Barefaced / EAD properly though )
15.
Awesome. Very clear and articulate, quite HiFi really, but with loads of bottom end. If you back off the mid and horn you can get a really nice "creamy" bass tone out of it. I tend to leave the Mid/High attenuators in the 12 o' clock position and just tweak the amp for the surrounding acoustics. I really cuts through the mix and is built like a tank. Certainly sorted out my Cab GAS.

Thanks. I was hoping you might say "It's OK, but overpriced for what it does - not as good as a BF Vintage...".
This is NOT helping my cab GAS one bit!!!!!
16. ...and before him it was mine, I commissioned it from the worthy Martin of MJW (was Martamp then) and it really is a beauty! Sounds brilliant, if I had a bigger house (rather than one full of children) I'd have this baby back cos I've not heard an amp it's equal!
17. Any trades? Fancy a fretless j?
18. currently a pair of Epifani UL2-112 but I'd like to go for a single 2x12 (Barefaced/EAD/Epifani)...
19.
Hi Andy, I've been looking for a p-bass for a while now and I've just seen you're post and think I'd be interested in taking it off your hands. Cheers, Dan
I'll drop you a pm
20. Someone on here was wanting one of these earlier tgis week...have a shuftie through the wanteds
21.
This will be gone by the end of today!!! Great basses, if I had a spare £400 I'd take it.

Agreed superb bit of kit, well worth the asking price !
Thanks guys, it's a corker!
22. this is super sweet! I love dark woods, subtle but elegant!!
23. That looks lovely! (this is also my favourite build thread so far as all the stages to date have been nice and close together so there's no wading through pages of other folks being congratulatory in order to see the goods!)
