1. Superb preamp matey, bit of a double posting thing going on though http://basschat.co.uk/topic/208323-fishman-pro-eq-platinum-bass-preampeqdi/page__fromsearch__1
2.
Speak to the guys at mics direct - they are great. Got me everything I needed by courier before 9am the next day. Top Gear. Top service. And the free XLR is actually a decent Proel one (so take that into account when looking at overall mic pricings)
recommendations always help matey, much appreciated! I was looking at using them but now I will for sure, thanks again!
3. Well, option 1 is a no goer, neither Sennheiser or their UK spares folks have got capsules to replace mine with so that mic needs junking The upside is I get to do some mic shopping when I scrape some cash together! Heil here I come
4.
Unfortunately I'm getting married in a couple of months. Truckstop
Congratulations matey!
5. Sounds like your current 5 string needs a bit of attention before you junk it matey, a decent set-up will either fix or identify the issues with it and will suggest remedies, if that still doesn't kill the problems then investigate some changes...
6.
I have a few Heil mics. PR20 and PR22 (both UT cos you don't need all the accessories) are both superb mics and certainly outperform the SM58 and Beta in my opinion. Using the Shures as a bench mark, The Heils have a nice smooth top end and a more focused bottom end than the Shure. The feedback rejection is also spot on - defo a worthwhile purchase. I also have a PR35... they are the dog's danglies on vocals. Sounds lovely.
Cheers, that's what I thought matey, option 1 is Sennheiser can provide a replacement capsule for a reasonable price and I can then repair the mic option 2 is get misself a PR35 or if funds won't allow that it'll be a PR22ut instead
7.
It's my old one. The very same one featured in my avatar! I wish I could buy it back Truckstop
It seems sad that your avatar is no longer with you! Sorry I can't help you get it back matey

I just received Dave's fender gig bag, top chap, very easy deal, yet another in the bc 'recommended to deal with' list! thanks matey!
9. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151045795955 Looks real nice, anyone live nearby? It's collection only :-(
10. I really like the look of the heil pr35 but they're a bit more than I wanted to pay...what're the pr20 like anyone?
11. I have a few e855 mics and they've been great over the years, one has recently failed and I'm struggling to find a replacement capsule to get it working again. Has anyone got any clues where I could source parts? I've tried the usual Google and not found anywhere that has them... Or What would be a replacement of equal quality and clarity? I've heard good things about heil...? Ta
12. I gues you're on th emobile site...he's in Tavistock which is allegedly not in Cornwall
13. Steve snapped up my Barefaced S12T, paid super speedily, great comms, excellent courier service courtesy of his mate, all stress free and very easy. Thanks matey!
14. I'd really like one of these babies! Hopefully we can work out the trade with my G&L
15.
Well my pedal settings on my Boss GT10b for Sorrow went down a storm at rehearsal last night!! Haven't listened to the rehearsal recording yet, but can't wait. So all I can say is thanks Guy!! All down to you, you top man. So please don't leave... I may need more help as we increase our setlist from the Floyd back catalogue
Hurrah!
16. [s]For trade ideally but for sale too if need be, my G&L Tribute JB-2, pristine condition, played at one practice and lovingly wrapped at all other times These are £400 new at the moment and this is darn close to new. Selling/trading as I could really use a small cab for home practice / coffee shop gigs and my ACG and Fretless Blazer get all the play time, a PJB 4B would be perfect so that'd be my primary trade option...other stuff, try me (I can only say no can't I) I'll take some more pics as soon as I get chance It's in Sheffield (for those mobile users) and local collection would be preferred but shipping can be arranged (UK) at buyers expense.[/s]
17. The G&L Tribute JB-2 is a stunning amount of bass for the cash!
18. Bl**dy good pedal this! Excellent bc'er too
19.
All passive, controls are volume, tone and 4 way pickup selector (neck, both series, both parallel, bridge)
This is almost the spec of my next graft that I can't afford yet so won't be starting for a while...feel free to add sound samples as soon as you like!
20.
Just thought I would post some pics of my new ACG Recurve 5 Graft, I think it is stunning! Still can not believe Alan can offer these hand made basses at such a great price! This one has a bubinga top, and lovely it is too
Is it another passive or has this one a preamp of some sort?
21. Now that's a lot of lovely for the money!!
22. Oo lovely! I've a 5 string pj fretless graft in the works, they're superb!
23. Joe posted a 'wanted' thread for a stand I was thinking about parting with and we quickly agreed on a deal, we then had a spot of bother sorting out the logistics of getting it to him but we both arrived at the rendezvous and the meet was flawless, no wheeltapping, no fuss, nice easy deal. Deal with confidence, thanks matey!
24. there was an excellent/scary tutorial vid on youtube where John Myung covered this along with a whole host of other stuff...can't remember what it was called though but it was a series of youtube vids taken from his tutorial video
