Hi Bud, Gotta agree about the 80 !! I've had a few basses come and go over the last few years and compared to them all the only one that's had it beat is my Warwick Thumb. They really are amazing for the price they fetch.
Thanks matey, they're susprisingly amazing for the money aren't they! I wonder if the secret will continue to leak out and they'll then appreciate in value -
I can see that

Yep, that one has worked OK. I can't see any sign of an older advert so I'm not too sure what happened there.
thanks guys, happy to leave it as a mystery and shuffle on with the new one that's much like the other one anyways

let's see if attempt 2 works http://basschat.co.uk/topic/209766-fsft-feeler-acg-recurve-s-type-6-mint/

[s]I'm surprisingly sad about having to admit that I just can't cope with any more than 5 strings! I try to never become emotionally involved with an instrument but I just couldn't help it with this one. My hands just can't manoeuvre around a 6 string neck like I want them to and despite giving it a few months for me to get used to it, it's just not happening :-( I fully intend to get essentially the same bass but with only 5 strings from Alan as soon as I have the cash (something a lot like this, if not this very one http://www.acguitars...assic-5-string/) This is my ACG (custom – not graft) Recurve single cut 6 string, spec as follows: Ziracote top with 4mm Sycamore/4mm Wenge accent and Flame Sycamore body. Satin finish. 7 piece Wenge/Maple neck with acrylic impregnated Flame Sycamore board bound with Ziracote. Asymmetric neck carve with flat finger board. ACG EQ03 5 A/P pre-amp, ACG FB hum buckers. Hipshot Type A bridge, 18 mm spacing. Here's a link to Alan's portfolio page for this beauty: http://www.acguitars...stype-6-string/ It is in mint condition, complete with Hiscox case, it's lived in there whenever I've not been holding it, never been on a stand, been used at 6 or 8 practices, never gigged, and has a full spare set of new strings (I've not even worn out the original strings on it yet). To comission this new from Alan would cost you in excess of £2k now! I'm in Sheffield and would prefer local collection / meet up within about an hours drive radius as it's not particularly light (11lbs) and would be v pricey to ship. I will consider UK shipping though if it seals the deal.[/s]
Go on Andy, you know you want it
Sorry bud, this (http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/0123-recurve-sc-classic-5-string/) is what I really want, unless of course you fancy a trade for my ACG 6 custom (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy_dye/sets/72157631967437610/) with cash my way?

am a bit confused, I just listed one of my basses for sale (acg recurve s-type 6) but once I'd pressed 'post' it vanished and it hasn't appeared in the 'new content' or 'basses for sale' or in 'my content'...did I post it or was I dreaming and need another coffee? confused.com
Did the 112 ever make it to market?
I know there's a prototype out there (ead or eude I get them mixed up for some reason ) and that at least one other is in use but I'm not sure...ask Mr Perry...he's good at answering emails promptly
Hmmm... Hartke Kilo feeding it to it though
oo hark at you with the big amp thingumy Although...doesn't it only throw out 1000W if it's completely dimed though? so if you generally only use it on 50% for example that's more like 500W?
What's the power handling on these actually... hmmm
Plenty mate!
These look amazing, had my eye on them for a while, love to own a pair one day.

You'd need an amp that goes to 2 Ohms to run two of the 212 Cabs
...and I don't think I can imagine ever needing to be that loud! These things are awesome, I love mine!!

Somehow (via a variety of trades and swaps) I've managed to end up with a pair of very lovely but surprisingly different feeling and sounding Ibanez Blazer basses pics to avoid accusations of 'it never happend' http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy_dye/sets/72157633277713595/ The '80 is fretted (as most blazers were) and has a really rather punchy tone even with the flats on, I'd prefer it to any p-bass I've ever tried without question! The '81 is a fretless, a factory fretless, I don't think many were made (so this would be a rarity maybe?), the tone is very sweet, super vintage p with a lovely gentle mwah/swell if you linger on a note much like any fretless p. Both are really solidly made and while not especially light, dont' seem all 'that' heavy to me either. Very pleased with both, now just need to persuade wifey that they 'do different jobs' so I can keep them

Am half way through, lovin the early years insights! I bought the blu ray import with the concert footage and it's a region I can't play on my older machine, I think it's us only, does anyone have a machine that will play it that'd care to buy it off me?
