1. Yet another top transaction with Mel, super speedy & easy & great comms as ever. ta Mel!
 2.
I was just going to write hang on to your money and wait for a Shuker or ACG 6er to come up on the boards. You won't get better than that for the money!
3. Speaking of custom made 6 strings...my ACG 6'er is for sale and isn't that far above your rough price guide...? If you're interested I could check the nut width and we could discuss numbers via pm
 4.
With regret i have had to back out of a trade deal for this bass. However, this was purley based on my inability to play bass to the standard required! This is a gorgeous looking instrument and i cant imagine you will find this kind of quality in a bass built by anyone for anything like this price! If it had 5 strings it would be mine, although i do not think the owner would part with it either.... BUMP
It's a shame matey, I reckon you'd have loved the extra sonic girth to be had from the extra string, a low b is a beautiful thing as is a high c, I just can't do both at once, I may need 2 5 strings once b-g and one e-c, yes I think that's the way forward for me, more basses
 5. I've wanted to have a proper go on one of these for ages, ever since I heard Cachaito playing one on the buena vista live show segments, sounds pretty good, obviously not quite as good as a full acoustic but a damn good sound and a very distinctive looking little thing too, glad you got it back mate!
 6.
.............Cheers! I should have asked 'Is this model recommended for E to C, B to G, or either'.
I figured you knew about set ups n nut alterations n wotnot as you've been playing for longer than I've been alive
I will check when i am next at home but i would think that the nut will accomodate BEADG without modification, i believe all Wood and Tronics 33 inchers are shipped EADGC unless you request otherwise as Enrico recommends it, however i have seen many a BEADG. Of course, intonation and possible truss rod adjustments would be necessary, but i doubt you would need to touch the nut But as i say, i have a .130 string at home so i shall try it on later this week! and indeed i am from sunny Leamington Spa.
I ws just looking at this photo of yours showing the headstock and nut and it doesn't look like there's much wriggle room in that slot for a wider string in there... http://s75.photobucket.com/user/KevMan69/media/Snapbucket/C8E95B38_zps8e13273d.jpg.html could just be the angle though
 7.
Hi..Is this specifically for E to C stringing? Which far-away Galaxy are you from?
From the pics it has a brass nut cut specifically for those gauges so could be modified but with quite a bit of faff ...and I believe he's from the Leamington Spa galaxy
 8. someone buy this piece of loveliness! I've never fancied a W&T bass before this one and I can't afford it
 9. any trades? Pair of lovely '80 fretted & '81 fretless Ibanez blazers maybe?
 10. I'll have a couple mel even though my original ones are still unmarked despite frequent use
 11. would you be interested in a trade for my pair of Ibanez Blazer basses ('80 fretted and '81 fretless)?
 12. Trade for an ibanez blazer with cash my way?
 13. This might be coming to live with me
 14.
Ah the 6 string, something I have never got the hang off but this is truly gorgeous...pm'd
Thanks for the kind words matey, pm replied to
 15.
OK. But.. why not "FINEST" ?? maybe I'm being a touch over-sensitive.. but that's just me BCers!!
I'd expect a guitarist or singer one to say finest but drummers/bass players can cope with a little self deprecation can't we? I'm easily the best bass player in my band but I don't need to state it, I can just dazzle them with my drummer jokes?
 16. I have one, kinda like it really...
 17.
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item230f4fd170 This the bow i have. For the money you really cant get a wood bow to beat it for less then 500-600. Get it re-haired when it arrives and you'll be sorted.
Awesome, thanks buddy! I guess the next question would be what rosin would you recommend for a bowing novice, and about how much should a rehair be (roughly)?
 18. there's a lack of dosh around at the mo it seems matey, neither of my f/s threads are going anywhere at the mo either...'tis a bug*er innit!
 19.
I usually check bc on my phone these days so I can't really listen to anyone's recordings. :-(
This...
 20.
Cheers Andy. My efforts to get down to two basses lasted, erm, one piggin week
fancy buying any of mine to keep your numbers up?
