1. I would fork out the money and buy some decent speakers..... What you are suggesting may work but will not make a huge difference, better speakers and better EQ-ing will.
2.
GK RBs are amazing, probably best Watt per £ on BC currently.
Repeating myself....
3. Buy a Dean Edge 8 or Rhapsody 8..... The BC member that bought mine was really happy.
4. Metric vs Imperial hex sizes? If the bolt looks intact it is most definitely hex size related. Any bassist should own both in any case... Since you state double action and based on your description I am guessing you bought another Wick. Those are metric, perhaps the one provided and the ones you tried were imperial? Good luck.
5.
How is this still here?! Awesome kit at a fantastic price!
Exactly! Get over the D class fad people, pound for pound one of the best deals on BC.
6. Very tricky to buy in any country, produced in small batches as and when they feel like it.
7.
I have just dropped out of batch 2 so someone in batch 3 may be moved up
Will happily step in Kev
8. Come on then! No pics = no stand
9.
I have no possible need for this. I have spent some time trying to work out where I could use it. I LOVE a good case, and this is a great case - it's got wheels and everything! If I had any need for a hard case I would be all over this like a bad rash.
+1
10. Mohini Dey no doubt is very very talented and in time could become extremely well rounded. At 16 your talent still is developing and time spent learning styles, developing your own voice etc etc is limited by the young age. So I can totally see why people are amazed. Tone is an individual preference so cannot comment. Personally I prefer her tone in some of the Indian music videos she features in on Youtube. John McLaughlin, take notice
11. I actually have an M80, M80 double, the Protec Contego and the Mono Sleeve. Apart from the ridiculous buckle and flap I actually prefer it over the Contego if I do not need to take too much stuff with me as it is light but does a good job at protecting my bass. I carry my strap, mic, couple of leads and bass comfortably. M80s still are the best option if you need to carry more imo. Contego for sure is a good bag/case, but not an M80.
12. Must say that P sounds lovely, and a fair example as I also use the Mesas both Walkabout and MPulse. I very briefly had an Andre Gouche Kingston, great to play, hated the tone.....maybe it's some of the soapbar models...
13. ......this is just gold. If it is a marketing ploy it's pretty oddball, original and funny, if he truly has lost the plot then he is just another artist that has started believing his own hype, which I also find pretty amusing. Getting famous and being able to deal with being famous are 2 different things. Or maybe he is on Caitlin Jenners hormone pills.
14. I am posting this to gather some intel. Over the years I have had limited exposure to Barts but where I was exposed to be frank I was not too impressed thus far. They felt quite scooped, brittle and lacked character of sorts. However, a number of very reputable builders pretty much swear by them (Roscoe, Pedulla, MTD etc.). Any opinions (clearly they have a range of pickups) pro or con? Cheers.
15. I love my Bighead, top piece of kit for both practice and recording.
