  1. Depends on the bass, East pre's can be amazing but you need the flat response version in any case. I just stuck a U Retro Deluxe in my 5 string Jazz and it sounds amazing (but does have passive tone control in both active and passive mode). My 4 string Jazz is passive. 3 CTS pots, some wire and a uF0.047 Orange drop and some soldering, presto!

  3. There is something incredibly Anglo-Saxon about the inability to be happy for a "small" company becoming even a little succesful. Buy British in favour of American I say (and I am only half English). Endorsements have several forms, from getting your stuff free to getting a small discount. Nothing wrong here at all. Well done mr Claber!

Marinus and I traded basses. Very nice guy who was very welcoming to me and my son when we visited him. Great guy, great trade.
  7. Squier = low cost Fender made in China nowadays (or such) Squire = a knight's errand boy Since we are being obnoxious....
  8. I think we are off topic..... For me RHCP died when Frusciante departed, but like others Mothers Milk and other old stuff has my preference. BSSM I both loved and hated, lost track after. One Hot Minute, was that the one with Dave Navarro?
  9. AKG D112 or Shure Beta 57 for me. Slightly prefer the D112..
  10. Gibson, another once great company..... Awesome deals tho.
  11. Oooh dream amp. These were made by Koch in Holland, they are mega rare and are that highly regarded Roger S has just ordered another 100 to be built. GLWTS!

  13. Due to quite a hefty speeding ticket (yes, a moron) I have decided to let go of a few more pedal. 1 - MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter. No intro needed me thinks. This is in near to new condition having lived securely on my pedal board (before my Strymon Mobius came in). New these are GBP 145. I am looking for GBP 85 shipped. SOLD 2 - Source Audio Orbital Modulator. Also in near to new condition. Great for tight pedal boards as it houses a chorus, flanger, phaser, resonator, tremolo. Comes with all the bits. New these are GBP 140. I am looking for GBP75 shipped. No trades this time around. Please feel free to check out my feedback on BC. Harry
  14. I am loving mine! Stuck it in a blend loop to give even more flexibility......it truly is an awesome synth pedal.
  15. There are a number of fingering options that you can experiment with, I played it for years with my '90s rock covers band (although it is from early '00s) and still play it on occasion with my Muse Tribute. It is not incredibly difficult, but it is one of those where you need to have it in your fingers (muscle memory) before it becomes comfortable. You could try something like Anytune Pro, it lets you slow down the entire song to a speed you can manage and you can speed up until you reach full speed.
