I bought Joris's Pedaltrain Mini. Comms have been excellent, it was very well packaged and delivered promptly. You can have total confidence dealing with Joris.

The Gallien Kruger Fusion 550 is a single input but dual channel amp - the switch automatically adjusts gain and eq settings. Just mute the amp (it has a mute switch of just use your tuner if you use a pedal one) to avoid noice when unplugging. I think the class d models also have this feature. They can all be had for £500 or less second hand.
IME the GK stuff isn't unreliable at all. I've owned 4 and never had a real problem. Its just their suppliers here in the UK are a bit, um, sub-optimal.
I live in Harrogate and gig all over Yorkshire, including York and Leeds, in 2 covers bands. As a punter its Leeds every time - loads of great venues, music of all sorts being performed, a really lively scene and well served by public transport.
I was lucky enough to be (low down) on the bill for their penultimate gig, which was essentially the Stop Making Sense set. Amazing show, one of the most memorable gigs I ever saw. I'm seeing Byrne in Leeds in a few weeks - his recent album with St Vincent was very good
