  1. Past hour
  2. In the context of the Ric police, they are likely the ones flagging up the fraudulent overseas sellers. And fraud ain't going to get you too far if the seller is on the opposite side of the globe. There's loads of "Rickenbacker"s in Aliexpress at the moment. Or even in the UK: just search eBay for "Rickenbacker truss rod". There was a number of 12-string "R" tailpieces on eBay a week ago, but I can't find them anymore; maybe words have been said.
  3. Hehe, it's 5.3kg on my bathroom scale. Feels heavy in the hand, but not that heavy on a strap. I wouldnt recommend getting hit in the head with it tho..😂
  4. I would love this, I have wanted one since I first saw one in a book. Sadly it's way out of my budget, but I hope you find a buyer soon. GLWTS.
  5. Hi, A very well balanced 10lbs 5ozs this one, so no fly-weight however not heavy IMO. Regards Gaucho
  6. Short scales are great. I don’t think there was any reason basses started off at 34” - I believe it was an arbitrary decision by Mr Fender. I’m very tall and find the fit better for fretting, the weight lighter and they are less prone to neck dive (generally, I know there are exceptions as with 34” basses). There are many retro styled shorties, but there are quite a few modern styled examples if you prefer those. Those that knock them are showing their ignorance and are probably stuck in the past “student bass” mentality.
  7. Check your messages. I would be interested if you could send the 212 on its own
  8. Building a collection but obviously not going to go for all 5 basses at once. Wish I could...maybe 2 out of five
  9. I'm mostly miffed that they stuck the least talented one on bass
  10. 8lbs - nice and light and yes it’s a cracker
  11. Lower pickup cover there is bang on! As is the neck join. I'll add, the bolts on the back are f***IN MASSIVE! 😂 I'll get a picture of them sometimes, they are chunky! Perhaps that is a Yamaha thing (that was a part of the appeal tbf, I have a decent selection of basses but nothing from Yamaha). The body gets very fruity compared to this - the knobs are way out of whack, and the foremost of them is *behind* the bridge. This is a LONG bass (though the scale is certainly not long / outlandish). I don't think the body could have been shaped from this - no signs of joins, smooth and continuous grain (from the looks of it) etc. I'm currently trapped under a very small Labrador, I'll have a closer look later!
  12. Hmm mi dispiace but this type of lounge jazz-soul passes me by and the vocals are a bit meh. I watched all the way through but couldn't remember a single melody a few minutes after. Some good bassface from Mohini Dey though

  16. phenomenal musicians. I could listen to them all day, the vocal not so much for me
  17. I like this one more, thanks!
  18. I am thinking of getting shot of my GT1B for the ME90B. Fed up with menu diving to adjust sounds and would much rather have the physical controls in front of me.
