  2. Selling my lovely little C4, bought during lockdown, but no longer needed. Amazing little unit that punches, way above its size. Couple of dings, (worst pictured) but otherwise in very good condition. Postage will be £15-20, depending on the courier. More cabs to come (Orange, Barefaced, EA. Watch this space). Speakers: 4×5″ “Neo Power” Power: 400W Impedance: 8 Ohm Frequency: 35 Hz – 15KHz Dimensions( W x D x H): 14″x12.5″x13.5″ Net Weight: 21 lbs Connection: Speakon Slip on cover included
  3. Call me a convert. I bought a 4 string set to try out and was quite impressed. Well worth the price and compare favourably with some name-brand alternatives that cost 3-4 times as much.
  4. I once had a Ninja 212, also with a yellow piped Roqsolid cover, I wonder if this was mine… It was a fantastic cab, really didn’t need much of a push from the amp as it was so clear and punchy! Great little bit loud rig!

    Kaldgrass. What do I win?
  6. Apparently I joined in December 2007. Hardly seems possible. I don't think I was on Bassworld, but I used to hang out on News Groups like The Bottom Line in the late 90's/early 2000's - anyone remember them??
  7. It's branded Kliq Pete, although I've got a few others branded as Aircell Basically a neoprene strap with air pockets built in. There are quite a few variants on the market these days, I've found them to be really comfortable
  8. Reckon if you sourced a replacement pick guard (I think Bass Direct could help), removed the vinyl and fret markers and put it back to BEADGC tuning, you'd have a much better chance of selling it! The Payson bridge is a good replacement for the original single bridge pieces. 👍
  9. I joined May 17 2007, after being on bassworld. How time flies.
  10. apologies for the confusion, I’ll update now 😁 yeah, it’s Vinyl
  11. Is the top a vinyl cover then? Not super obvious what it is from your description!
  12. We should all take BC out for it's first legal pint 😄
  13. There's very little interest in CDs these days even with bands that gig regularly. Having said that, a handful of people may want one... so see if you can order a run of 250 or less - that's what I'd recommend. Order a cardboard format, not plastic. Don't get tempted to order a 1000 - that's pure insanity. They'll gather dust.
  14. I joined in 2008, just after someone shut away “the dark magic”. I was in my first few days when someone spotted the banner and said “do you play bass?” 🤦‍♂️ yes, Dear Reader, it was said by a guitarist …. Quite smart as they go, he managed to formulate a complete sentence
  15. Today
  16. A 6x2 string arrangement. Sweet.
  17. Hi @Rosie C That stand is awesome! It is just what I need for gigging Could you please give me the name of the stand, a description or a link where I can find it? Thank you so very much!
  18. I still have a pair of Yamaha PB1 pres, one of which was my main pre, used with a matching Yamaha P series power amp in a true biamp configuration crossed at 300Hz, and so looks a bit second hand now. Mine are in storage awaiting time to do full cosmetic and technical restorations. So here's a pic I found via goolag.
  19. For sale is my Tone Hammer 500. This is a great amp with a warm, tube-like tone. I bought it new about 8 years ago and it's had regular, though not heavy use - approx. one gig a month - and always been well looked after. In great condition, with one minor scratch on the top, seen in the photos. Packed in the original box, with mains lead and instructions. Complete with the Aguilar carrying bag in very good condition. £500 including UK postage.

  22. Another ex-BassWorlder here.. Though I was only on it for a year or so... Before making the jump to Basschat on 17/05/2007. Most expensive thing I've ever done in my life... 😭😁😂 Wouldn't have it any other way though!
  23. Yesterday
  24. Ever wanted that mega Bi phase action like a musitronic! But smaller and cheaper. These are difficult to find, so my last bump.
  25. Rehearsed with my old soul band as a dep on Friday. Last time I depped was 18 months ago so a few new songs to learn. I've not had much time to learn or practice their set so I thought Friday was going to be a struggle and occasionally it was! On the whole though it was a very positive experience. Plenty of muscle memory kicking in and some of the new stuff like EW&F's Fantasy and Let's Groove sounded great (for a first time run through anyway 😄). It was great to see the guys again and meet the new guitarist, their positive and kind words during the rehearsal definitely gave my confidence a boost. The rehearsal room is in the singer's garden and he has a nice little spot by a river, the house was built in the 1600s I think so it has a lovely ambience. As it was a warm evening he had the bifold doors open and at one point there was cheering when a song finished. There was a slight pang of regret on my drive home but it was the right decision to leave when I did...just maybe wishing the dep jobs came around more often 😄
