  1. Past hour
  2. I've had this for a few years and not really used it much, and with life about to get more expensive I can't justify keeping it. These are very hard to come by (hence the price), and it doesn't look like Spencer is going to be building them again any time soon. It's definitely one of the most malleable filters out there, with lots of controls for attack, decay, response etc, plus the FX loop. I don't have the original box, only the Wonderlove box it had when I bought it, but it does have the original instructions. Reduced to £800 Price includes insured delivery.
  3. Today
  4. I’ve just finished watching it. I really enjoyed it and thought the final episode was the best. In the scope of basslines that are great, it actually covers little ground, but I can see potential in a further series.
  5. He was actually voted Behs Player of the Year, and was the only nominee.
  6. Ask him why this one has the crappy Fender logo but his original one had the full 70's TV logo...
  7. +1 I've used them for years. EPS165-5 to be specific.
  8. Yes, I'll check and confirm the weight tonight (my time) and get back to you. In batch 2 we are going to experiement with a lighterweight redin based fill but I can't say how much weight it will save until it's in my hands..
  9. Mics are quite a personal thing, I must admit that I usually hear both the SM58 and the XM8500 through. passive old monitors snd both sound a little thin to me. The difference in price is quite a lot though. We are lucky that we now have a good selection of both cardioid and super/hyper cardioid mics and do not just have the SM58/57. Super cardioid works well for me and I use mine to move offline when I sing but am not supposed to be. Sometimes I just cannot help myself. I have a selection of mics. My favourite is a Sontronics Solo, Super Cardioid, I also have Two Vintage Ramsa Dynamic Mics, WM-D120 and WM-D150 plus a Behringer BA 85A Dynamic Super Cardioid. All usable, all slightly different but the Sontronics is the clear winner. I also think it great to discuss equipment but sone people will take criticisms of their choice personally.

  11. That is beyond sweeeeeet!
  12. Guitarist just made our Christmas songs on YouTube public again that being the time of year. Three that came out of Lockdowns (along with other covers and a short album), but here we are coming up 6 years on and the enthusiasm to record and do other stuff to keep from the insanity of sitting in the house all day at bay seems to have waned We got a load of videos put together remotely, three Christmas songs, one a cover, and a six song EP/album produced during and following lockdown. A second EP was planned, but somehow it never happened once restrictions stopped. Shame really but 🤷‍♂️ Anyway...having brought a downer to the thread...Happy Christmas (early) one and all
  13. For me, they are also the only flats with a usable B string. The worst B string being TI flats
  14. Evah Pirazzi is now sold
  15. I am selling this nice Jazz Bass. Sounds and plays superb but I am not a big Fan of Bass in all natural colors. Looking for a straight sale or trade within the EU. Comes with Gigbag, Tools and Certificate.
  16. I forgot to post this here. We released a new EP recently. We aren't straight doom. Got elements of thrash, a smidge of prog and a few other bits thrown in there. All mixed by me, recorded at Joe's Garage in Bristol. https://horadoom.bandcamp.com/album/witch-trial-sessions-vol-2 We're also organising Temple of Doom again on my birthday next year. So I'll be getting merry after our set! More bands to be announced. https://www.headfirstbristol.co.uk/whats-on/loco-klub/sat-23-may-temple-of-doom-vol-ii-140249#e140249
  17. Loving this approach, I'm doing something similar, as in the modular approach. I have a "meat and potatoes" board for traditional bass duties... and then another x2 that patch in after this depending on the project I'm playing on.
  18. This was my "desk" at work over the last couple of weeks. Out with a band that I'm tour managing, but we'd had to downsize the larger crew from our UK gigs for some smaller European shows, which meant I had some multitasking to do. This is my corner for guitar teching, mixing the IEMs off the iPad there, and that little Fender combo and Tele to the left was for me to jump on and play guitar for five songs because we couldn't fit the extra session guitarist in the downsized tour setup!
  19. I've just realised it's December, on the home stretch now. Well done to all those still in.
  20. Ah, the semi flats? Hmmm... You've got me thinking now . Ta!
  21. Aye, when you're all paying your bills from it, it tends to encourage everyone to grow the fúck up and get on with the task at hand like professionals!
  22. Welcome Mehu.
  23. Hi im a new bass player from finland ive been playing for about five months i hope to connect with other bassists here
  24. No box or manual. Some cosmetic wear as expected for a used pedal, but it functions exactly as it should. £50 Postage: ~£10 UK at cost Collection available in / around Edinburgh.
  25. Aston SwiftShield portable acoustic isolation screen, ideal for improving recordings in untreated rooms. Great for vocals, voiceover work, podcasts, or acoustic instruments. Foldable, lightweight, and very easy to position on a mic stand. Helps reduce room reflections and background noise, giving you a tighter, more controlled sound when recording at home. Brand new in box £30 Postage at cost (around £10 UK) Collection available in / around Edinburgh.
  26. Recently joined a band (second rehearsal tomorrow) and it's looking like they might want to take on a few pub gigs to just hone the set and performance so,.. Bought a pub cheapy for the usual reasons. I picked up a Classic Vibe Jazz 5 locally. The guy had bought it 6 months previous so I wasn't expecting much with him moving it on that quickly but it still had all the plastic on it. I've also got the original packaging with his name and address on. It stands me in £175 + new strings. Wow, that neck and fret board. Frets perfectly finished, no sharp edges, love the gloss feel, in fact, it reminds me of the 5 string Elite I sold here a couple of years ago. Great sound through my Shuttle 6.0. Plays like a dream with the LaBella low tension flats on. The only down side is, it's on the heavy side but as their set list appears to be just 20 numbers, I won't be standing on a stage for 3 hours. I think these things are only about £300 or so new. Can't believe it for the money.

  27. Im touring in a band currently supporting British Lion - not long come off stage in Manchester. I asked Steve tonight why his new signature bass was black. He explained it was actually white when he got it and immediately had it sprayed Matt Black. I’m guessing it never had the BA bridge on to start with but I’ll ask him if I get the opportunity. He’s got one with him on the tour but it’s unlikely he’ll use it as it’s strung with rounds but I might get the chance to have a go!
