Am I the only person not to love a RM head? I had one for a while, seemed underpowered and lacking in character compared to my MB, TE Elf and old Ashdown ABM combo. Moved it on quickly. Each to his own I guess and there is clearly a lot of love for them here - maybe it’s my old ears 👂

If we're doing flashbacks. Yamaha BBG5S, through a 2x15 & 4x12 bi-amped rig. Sometimes added a guitar amp as well using an Akai Unibass. When bigger was better 😂😂. -
Thanks for sharing BT, I know the song from a long time back but didn’t know it was a cover, cheers

Hi all! I'm having a little string trouble and would like some opinions on it. Recently I got a 35inch scale bass after only playing 34inch the bass came with some rusty strings so I swapped them out with what was available and cheapest at the time Elixir 130-45 nickles and while I both sometimes love sometimes hate the slickness of them one thing I've grown to dislike is how floppy they are! Now my main bass has some unknown flats on it (they have purple silks so I'm assuming they're GHS) but I love how stiff they are, I can dig in and not be afraid of fretbuzz or accidently bending a note. So now I'm thinking how can I get that kind of stiffness on my extra long scale without putting flats on? Also would there be any unforeseen problems by having stiffer strings? Thanks in advance, Matt

Mr. Bungle in Manchester on Thursday night. An amazing evening of incredibly tight and heavy music. The view was great in some respects, but not in others as couldn’t see all of the stage. Was the best bet being where I was though due to my dodgy back.

Although it's not finished, I've strung this one up to see whether the top was going to implode. It's been a couple of days, so I'm definitely pretty relieved. There's still quite a bit to do - the bridge is a temporary one, the nut is just a piece of scrap, the heel cap needs to be glued on, everything needs to be sanded properly, and of course it needs some finish applied. There's still set up and fret leveling and installing the pickup etc etc. However, I know you lot haven't been sleeping with the anticipation of it all, so here's a sneak low-res preview.

No idea. It had a dead spot on the G string and WAL didn't want to know anything about it even tho i bought it new from them as a custom order. Put me right of WAL. Dave -
Excuse my stupidity…..so I could get Designacable, for example, to make a cable, 2 pole one end and 4 pole the other? That would be ok?
