  2. it looks nice $1300 NZD... no chance
  3. If I was Jaco I wouldn’t have wrecked the bass of doom, then I’m not on drugs.
  4. Thanks for uploading this and all the post production. He was really entertaining on the day, I’ll listen in full when I’ve got an hour free.
  5. Brilliant. I recognise the carbon fibre sheet 😁 If there is anything I can help with that needs 3d printing, let me know.
  6. Jaguar and Thunderbird- Chuck Berry
  7. SSL have a new AI powered EQ, Dynamics and Mix Buss set of jobbies. £79 initial price. Until you actually order them. Then they smack £15.80 on top for tax. Pretty uncool behaviour. It does say Tax Excluded on the page, but who reads that when the ads all say "introductory £79"? Humph.
  8. Had a listen, sounds...well...nice? But, unremarkable. You'd probably get almost exactly the same sound with the HX Stomp he uses later.
  9. The above gig was done entirely on rounds, and I don't gig regularly enough to cope with that, so the next gig was all flats, either Cobalts (long scale) or Chromes (on the shortie). The gig on the 10th even more of a hoot, but the FOH was a bit too loud for my liking, rendering my flat-out rig inaudible. The FOH rig at the Wharf is a Court Acoustics 20k setup, meant to use with lots of headroom, not wound up. Audience didn't suffer any obvious damage! Back on topic: The shortie just wasn't cutting it, so the FrankenFender did most of the gig, and very nicely, too, when i could hear it...
  10. Insane money.
  11. The wikipedia caption says 1971.
  12. well, it's Scottish and scotch and who doesn't think that inspires dancing .... So rock and roll guys and gals, or is that pushing it a touch ? it's the Raasay Reels midi sounds on the keyboard for the most part , and I guess the fiddle isn't that accurate, but you'll get the drift , bass and acoustic were real instruments though , in Reaper and roundly slapped and smothered with Ozone
  13. Today
  14. I’d go for Incognito’s Tribes, Vibes and Scribes. Step forward Mr Randy Hope-Taylor.
  15. Be quiet and drive (far away) - Deftones
  16. (What Do You Think Of It) So Far Away - Dire Straits
  17. Yep, 'twas my Markbass TA503, that I still own. Thanks for the kind words mate.
  18. For sale is my Barefaced BigTwin II Generation 3, in like new condition, with cover, I believe these are about £1750 new with a waiting list. 19. Don't rule out the B2. I loooooove those necks. They have the same profile as early 70's Fenders, really slim.
  20. Because I’m a sucker for a 70’s shape F headstock 😬. That said, the B-3 Custom on the blade website with the maple fretboard looks delicious.
  21. Why the older version specifically?
  22. Such a beautiful bass. What's the story behind what looks like a wire from the bridge pickup to the bridge?
  23. Rubbish - Carter USM
  24. Levinson Blade have appeared on my radar (again)! You’ll may already know that I love my Fender Power Jazz Bass Special basses. I love the Jazz neck, 22 frets, deep cutaways and superb PJ tone when given the EMG treatment. I’ve always fancied a Jazz equivalent of my PJ’s but never really fancied the idea of routing out one of my beautiful PJBS’s. So, I’m certainly intrigued by the Blade B3 / B4 (old version mainly) as it seems it could almost be a close cousin of Fender Japan’s exceptional handy work!
