  2. For sale my Ashdown ABM 400 head with ABM 4x10 cab and flightcase for the cab. They've seen a fair bit of touring, I think/hope i've priced it fairly considering that. They still sound fantastic! These were built from what I think is the first ABM range by Ashdown. Built in the UK and I think in the early 90's. I've had the head and cab since around 2009 and bought the flightcase for the cab around 2014. They've seen a fair bit of action over the years but haven't really let me down. The tolex on the head and cab are looking pretty tatty in places and some of the knobs on the head have come off over the years and had to be replaced. Some of that patches on the tolex are from stickers and tags to identify them as mine backstage etc. The flightcase has a couple of spots of rust but is other wise in great nick and the wheels and brakes work well. Internal dimensions for the flightcase are W615, D425, H675. Custom built by the Flightcase Warehouse UK. Selling as they had been sat in a rehearsal room for a while but my band are no longer renting that space and I don't have room at home. Collection or meet up only.

  4. Flying Teapot - Gong
  5. Chauvet Gigbar2, 2 x Chauvet DJ and 1 x Worldlite Party DJ (I do need to upgrade that set up at some point soon - following Phil's LED lights thread with interest!) Tbh I was guestimating the wattage from the lights, but given we use 6 x GU10 50W LED lightbulbs in the kitchen ceiling, didn't think it was an outrageous estimate? Yes would be 800W for just the PA over 2 hours. But was wondering if there was a sense check at arriving at the number from "first principles"?
  6. Hi all - I've just joined here hoping for some advice as I am very much not a bass player (which will become apparent in seconds I'm sure). I bought a Squier P bass second hand in about 1995 (when all i really wanted to be in life was Melissa Auf der Maur) and promptly never learnt to play it in the last 30 years. Time to finally let it go though reluctantly - I listed it on eBay a couple of days ago but I was just looking at the price of what I thought was the same thing but new (see? Not a bass player) - this evening some kind soul has reached out to me to tell me how entirely wrong I am and that what I actually have is what I've put in the title here. They suggested I post here for help. I've attached the photos I took of it (the listing is still up but I'm going to take it down) - and I'm not in a rush to get it gone - but If anyone is amenable to casting an expert eye over this and letting me know a) where I should be advertising this for sale and b) roughly what price I should be selling it at, I would be super grateful. Thank you!
  7. I quite agree. He wasn’t very good but it was a wedding and they were all very, very drunk.
  8. Lovely! I’ve been following them on IG and their instruments are beautiful.
  9. flying in a blue dream - Satriani
  10. Absolute bargain. If I didn’t already have one, I’d have been all over this. Don’t think I can justify having two of them!
  11. Was just taking a pic to reply to a thread mentioning a Zoom B3 and thought it might be of interest to see people's desks with all the good and bad on it, the cool things, the mundane things, the choice of things.....so here's mine 😁. I've taken over the front room bay window with my bass gear and my wife has let me, just about get on with it, but she cringes when we have non-musician visitors.🫣🤔😁 So right now, take a pic and share your desk!
  12. Actually I made a mistake. It had Nordstrand Big Singles originally. That’s where I was confused. I don’t have the original pickups. I already sold them. I updated the ad with the correct info. Thanks for the heads up!
  13. Hi everyone Selling this Aguilar rig .The amp was up for sale recently and withdrawn as a friend wanted to buy it. Unfortunately this deal has not materialised due to some sad circumstances and so now I am re listing it along with an SL410 it is an extraordinary rig with power/ width/ girth - almost a physical experience as well as tonally One of the greatest amps that still is seen on stages all over the world it is in a sleeve which is in good condition The cab is in very good condition with no tears and only a couple of light scuffs Price wise, I am happy to discuss but the amp is around £1350 ovno and the cab at £650 ovno Happy to split, answer any questions and discuss shipping Thanks for looking and just ask if you need Open to offers.

  14. One of the best combo around, and it's damn powerful. GLWYS.
  15. For sale my Fretless Jazz neck that i bought directly from Fender in 2021. I did have it fitted to a bass for a while but ended up putting the fretted neck back on that bass. It's been played at home a little bit and gigged once, maybe twice. Excellent condition, made in Mexico. I had it put on a vintage re-issue bass by a guitar tech who had to put some small indents for the vintage machine heads to fit (as seen in the photo). Available for collection or I can work out postage if needed.
  16. leaving on a jet plane - John Denver
  17. You could have simply continued without him and saved everyone the torment of having to listen to a saxophone
  18. That is power put to the speaker, if they were running flat out with a constant signal. so the only way that would be the source is if your system was 100% efficient which is impossible. You are putting far less power out in volume, but using more input than a 1:1 to input power to output power. Seems a lot - how many liights do you have? ok, that is a better way of working it out, so about 800W for that?
  19. Confession time - I also have a Danelectro Longhorn ( okay 29 and 3/4 “ scale) which is never going to leave me, so that makes 3 shorties really. I’m currently trying to reduce my bass / amp collection, and just concentrate on keeping stuff that gets used. ( Oh yeh, also forgot the Ibanez PNB14E acoustic - that’s 25”, and Fender Kingman 30”). 😁
  20. Quite clearly says £5600 in the title!
  21. I'm watching this video again, right now and the sounds IMA is getting out of his (world class?) bass and (ditto) chops & feel with this MXR Synth pedal is surely, world class, because these preset sounds are very very close to the recorded versions of the tracks he helped design it, to emulate. I agree with some that it's better when he is on his own, but then that's almost true whenever you get two Americans together on YouTube, unless one of them is Rick Beato 😬. I definitely want one, but the price is not for everyone!

  23. 🤣 Classic. This thread is making me think twice about being so enthusiastic for wedding band work!
  24. This would be worth a cheap experiment if you want mids, stock incoming according to them... https://www.armstrongmusic.co.uk/products/bcu-active-onboard-tone-expander-guitar-pot-upgrade
