  2. Last time I visited this thread it was only 2 pages long 😂 Not wanting to read 18 pages of posts I'll just go ahead and relate to you my 2025 Glastonbury experience … I started watching Neil Young on the BBC broadcast, the sound was so terrible I made it through maybe 3 or 4 songs before turning over to watch the Jeff Beck performance at Ronnie Scott's. I'd never actually seen this performance and loved every moment of it - apart from the many, many advert breaks - but what a great set. Mark
  3. Festival talk has reminded me we once got a dodgy golf cart with a blown fuse. We bodged it with the foil bit out of a fag packet and it ran like a champ for a week. The following year, same festival, I got a suspiciously familiar golf cart. Opened up the fuse box out of curiosity and found that ciggy foil is much more durable than expected, or possibly that a series of unlucky crews were inspired by our initial bodge. At least it wasn't a nail this time.
  4. Purchased a set of short scale strings from Marc which were promptly shipped and received. Excellent communication as well. Thanks Marc.
  5. It does... see start of the thread.
  6. I hoped it was tucked under his butt, but it may be completely missing... Take a look at the hybrid cymbal/elbow!
  7. Singer and drums absent. Mate Nigel is playing me something Darren wrote to his lyrics and me and Darren are jamming something suitably funky... The originals lot, Fritz put out an album X years ago and is reviving the band name for an album and a few dates. No big ambitions but some fun stuff with fairly simple structures.
  8. I have the opposite story: the last time I went two of my social circle who were dating had bought tickets together and then split up just before the festival. They couldn't afford/didn't want to lose the tickets so went together in a tiny tent and somehow every act I actually saw they were stood somewhere at the back looking incredibly miserable. Why didn't they just split up and go find some interesting things/hot people, in this huge festival the size of a city, full of interesting things/hot people? It is a mystery for the ages.
  9. Here is a Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeller pedal with power supply. This pedal has a very large library of effects and parameters, a looper, tuner etc etc I'm surprised it doesn't do the washing up. Too many things to list but a quick link to the manual(s) is here - https://line6.com/support/manuals/m13/ Also comes with a slightly tatty but perfectly usable Stagg pedalboard case. Collection preferred from near Axminster, although I do travel around the UK a lot so could easily bring it along to a gig for a meet up

  10. Much appreciate your help guys 👏👏. It’s looking very much like LTFs 👍👍
  11. Potentially doing myself out of the sake of my FI4, but @turtus, this is a great deal on a C4 here.
  12. Bought these for a new project but it’s folded already. Singer has decided it’s too much hassle doing the live thing and wants to keep it all studio only for now. 😖 Nabbed the octave just a couple of weeks ago on here. Selling for what I paid. FTElectronica SubOctave £85 posted UK Simple, wonderful tracking and based on the Ampeg ‘SubBlaster’ which Gregor from BTW adores as his favourite sub. I didn’t want the OC2 thing and this provides a lovely, usable sub which pairs beautiful with my DG fuzz. Can fatten and thicken when blended just so and really is a wonderful unit but not something I need in my pub band. TC Bucket Brigade. £45 posted UK Bought to add some modulation and width along with the octave and fuzz pedals on my board. Also used for some tracks which needed a warm analogue delay sound. This was ideal for it as it facilitated both needs. Simple, no menus and warm sounding. Boxed as new plus it’s tiny!!!!
  13. If it’s the same band she had with her last year at the jazz cafe, it’ll be great.
  14. NBD Quick string change and setup. First impressions it’s very nice, apart from the placky battery cavity cover. I’ll fit the VTC preamp when I get a chance.
  15. Thanks Rob. This level is beyond what i did at lessons back in 70's and some of the terminology i've either not heard before or wasn't sure what it meant. Dave
  16. A golf trolley. I think I paid £15 for mine second hand and the only mod required was a bit of webbing to extend the strap. Used it at Folk East which is a field on the side of a hill, perfect. I'll post some pictures in the morning.
  17. My next purchase, if it happens, is going to be sent to my workplace. It will be going home under the "Eddie has lent me it, doesn't like it, said he'll let me know when he wants it back." line. I'll get the "I know the game you're playing look and eye roll combination" I'll say "What's that all about?" She'll roll the eyes again and say something along the lines of "I'm sure you think I was born yesterday!" We'll have a laugh and that'll be the end of it.......... Until she reminds me that I'm nowhere near out of the woods.
  18. Oh aye, she's observant too - some may know that I recently took in a second Thunderbird (different model though) and she was like "don't you have one like that already?" I started to explain the differences, her eyes glazed over and that was the end of that conversation
  19. Is this the Dean Paramount? How is it a bitsa?
  20. Nah the place is just a place. The people in the place are what makes the place ace.
  21. I am working on a long complicated Branford Marsalis tune and needed some respite so I have put together this transcription of the Adalberto Cevasco bass part for the tune 'Milonga Del Angel' from the 2010 Astor Piazzolla release 'Piazzolla En Suite'. An easy read but a lovely piece. You can't have enough Piazzolla. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/milonga-del-angel-astor-piazzolla/
  22. I’ve said it before - but this place is just Ace. 😘

  24. Yes I gig all three of my basses. But I don’t take every bass to every gig. I try not to play $h1tholes where my kit will be stolen, but it’s more about evening out the wear and tear. I suspect a drunken Saturday night pub crowd will not appreciate the tonal qualities of a vintage Fender over a cheap and cheerful Yamaha, so why bother taking it?
  25. My wife is exactly the same. I've never been one for going clothes shopping or buying myself stuff so if I see something I like my wife is always supportive. The only prerequisite is that she needs to like it as well - no ugly basses or jobby brown finishes 😁
  26. But what is music? It's perfectly summarised in the title of this really great 30 years old tune.
  27. As per the advice above used the splitter to get EQ able IEM feed into my IEM mix, and a different EQ for FOH ( and back line). First outing for the CQ18T and all went well. Binned all the quick channels during set up/ sound check and went to the Full channel setup as lots of horrible boom and hints of related feedback. Sorted the sound within a few minutes per channel, and with a bit of help from the Feedback algorithm everything worked really well. Best 3 x vocal Mix I've tried so far and the majority of bass through FOH. After One outing I won't be going back to my analogue mixer,..just need to be wary of Rabbit Holes!!!! The Bass sound was naff, but the system works a treat, just need time to focus on me rather than everything else!! So thanks for the help👍👍
