After crippling shoulder pain after a wedding gig last Thursday where I used my Spector followed by a festival last night where I used my Stingray 5 where I felt absolutely fine after the gig I think it's time to accept defeat and acknowledge by body doesn't like how the bass hangs when standing up. It's an incredible bass, sounds amazing, plays amazing and I love the design of the basses from the body shape to the bridge and headstock design. Thinking I'll probably put it in a case and leave it there as a studio tool thought it pains me to have such a great instrument not being used!

For sale is my TC Electronic GMajor-2 multi effects unit in fully working condition and updated to the latest firmware. Pictures show it in its usual rack home (rack not included). Although most of the standard effects are aimed at the guitarist I have found the compressor, gate, flanger, phaser and octaver (up and down) etc. to be very useable for bass. I can either factory reset before shipping or leave the presets I have created intalled. It has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my amps effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with original box and operating manual. You can use the unit in your DAW as well as with your bass / guitar etc. Patches can be easily selected from the front panel or attach a midi-pedal (I used a MidiMoose). There is also some Vyzor software you can download from the net which allows you to interface your PC with the GMajor-2 to edit and backup your user patches. I have also attached the GMajor-2 and Vyzor manuals below. tc_electronic_g-major_2_manual_english.pdfVyzor_G-Major2_Quick-Start.pdf I estimate UK shipping about £10 to £15.

1 rack unit is gone so the only one left is the lower one in the photos. For sale is my used but not abused EMS 500 19" rack case. The rack is currently assembled as 6U but can be reconfigured as 3U, 6U simply by removing some bolts and panels - 10 min job! You can also configure it so the top removes for mixers. The rack is currently assembled to a board with castors which isn't included in the sale and will be removed before shipping.........unless you really, really want it and then it would be an extra £20 and whatever the increased postage is. These are quite special cases as they are modular construction where you can increase or decrease the number of rack spaces by easily adding or removing side and end panels. All you need is an allen key! You can also use them with a mixer installed in the top and the top panel can be easily removed! See the photo of how I had the units set up for my band PA. (None of the rack equipment is included.) All catches etc are in good condition. Rack to rack depth is 48cm. Weight per 6U assembly is 18lbs / 8.2kg. See the attached brochure for more details. The 6U Gator version of this case weighs 13lbs so slightly lighter but is NOT as rigid, road resilient or has the flexiblity options. As these are modular I would propose they are dismantled and flat packed for shipping to reduce the cost. I'll give details on how to re-assemble if you need but its quite straight forward. I've estimated UK postage to be £15 per unit. 6U Rack Unit 2 - the lower 6U rack unit in the photos on its own - £90 / Board with castors - £20 / Both together £100. Shipping Extra EMS.pdf

I also tend to use a reamer for this job. Yes, it's slower but just very pleasing. -

For sale or trade: 2013 Fender Nate Mendel Road Worn Precision Bass. Hey SSG's, As I predicted, this one is not long for my stewardship, which is a pity, as it's got an almost nuclear punch to it with the standard Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickup set. But at the end of the day, I'm a Jazz bass player, as opposed to a Precision bass player, and the chewy punch of my Aguilar equipped '95 Stingray is capturing all of my attention at the moment. 'Nathaniel' here has been set up beautifully with a low action curved to the 7.25 radius of the fingerboard, currently running on 40-95 Elixirs, so it's a dream to play. Comes complete with a seriously thickly padded old gig bag (pictured). This is one of the early Mendel Signatures with the original BadAss II bridge. If you haven't played one of these before, they're a big favorite of people with either small hands or classical DB technique, as the nut width is 1.615", so not far off a Jazz neck. There's no point in me pointing out dings and marks, as it was RoadWorn from the factory. I've not added any more dings to it, or kicked the body around a gravel carpark, but the Mexican workers at the Ensenada plant probably did. It's actually quite a nice subtle job, with aged maple parts and metal hardware. The nice part is that you can see the gold undercoat underneath it, as if it's a well gigged refinish of Candy Apple Red over a previous coat of Shoreline Gold. Candy Apple Red Ash body with lightly Road Worn Nitro Cellulose lacquer finish. Maple Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard. Slim "C" based on 1971 Precision. 7.25 neck radius & 1.615" nut width. Leo Quan BadAss II Bridge. Seymour Duncan Basslines SPB-3 Quarter Pound split coil pickup. Foo Fighters Tour Bus and Platinum Records not included. £925, or make me a sensible cash/trade offer with a little extra money going either way. Buyer to collect, or will meet at a reasonable 75-100 miles from Derbyshire DE7.

Very nice, but something about it feels wrong to me, hand and head movements at time look like there's some video artefacts in there? I might just be imagining it of course...... Either way, lovely bass line 👍 -

greghagger started following Is This ‘Mind Bending Exercise’ A Fraud?

Recently I stumbled across a YouTube video called 'Mind Bending Bass Exercise' and it looked pretty insane. It was the same 4 notes played over and over but by video creator Andres Rotmistrovsky, but he constantly changed position on the fretboard while doing this. So, is this video a fraud or a very good exercise? Click the link below to find out in my latest YouTube video. There’s a link for the free PDF of the exercise with the fingering patterns in the video description. Have fun with this!

Hey all, Just answered a wanted add from Brian for a comp. Quick communication, trustworthy and no issues whatsoever. Would definitely deal with again. Peace.

Tonight I am in total control of the PA so to add to the usual gig nerves I have that to contend with! Add the tantrums of a muddled aged child (singer).., However I have worked through things many time at home and I should be OK😀
