  1. Past hour
  2. I unashamedly love Reverend as a brand. Both their bosses and guitars just look so cool and and great twists on classic silhouettes. Plus the build quality and pickups are great. Even though I don't own one, I reckon it was time to start a fan thread so people can post their basses (and guitars) if they want But the colours, man the colours. Just always doing something a bit different. Today is no different. A few new releases and I'm a fan of all 3 of the basses.
  3. Longer screws?
  4. Like it or not, it's Ozzy's time as a reality TV star which made him the odd cultural icon he became. His life & passing would still have been massively celebrated within the metal community, but there would have been very little of this blanket coverage if he hadn't been all over the telly with his catchphrases.
  5. Hitting a five year old named Mark? Tut, tut. Pick on someone your own size 😁
  6. He posts regularly in the Affiliates section https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/309825-manton-customs-build-diary-thread/
  7. Thanks Walshy, Andy has a PM 👍
  8. It’s very good mate. I’ve played it 👌
  9. I very much doubt that you, or anyone else, will ever use that strap button, so a pickguard screw will do the job just fine IMO. A small plug of cocktail or match stick in the hole should help if it seems a little loose
  10. @Manton Customs?
  11. This one is locked for the moment to enable a period of calm reflection by all interested parties…..
  12. Hello, Can anyone confirm if any P bass necks off the fender website are compatible with a Jazz bass body? I have a 2012 American Standard Jazz bass, but I prefer the P bass neck. Is this something that I can do without any modifications? thanks!
  13. Producer borrowed one so we're good for now
  14. Very kind of you to say so; 3 of the 4 of us are actually vocalists in other bands.
  15. What's the best / easiest option to raise a soapbar pick up that seems to be maxed out at 10-12mm below the strings. ? Dave
  16. Let’s talk Andy 👍
  17. good spot that man , top marks 😁
  18. I came across this site http://mantoncustoms.co.uk and to be honest, I´ve never heard of it before ( what means nothing🙂). There´s also a youtube channel "Manton customs". I must say, I´m deeply impressed by the design and the sound of those basses and guitars and the craftmanship that mirrors (is this the right term?no native speaker here) in them. Absolutely stunning work. Does anybody here own such a beauty and can tell about it ?
  19. Did you get a tax-free export price from the Japanese retailer, may I ask? I'd be very interested to hear your opinion of how good the new HAZ- inspired Legacy preamp is, as well as your overall impressions of the bass overall. For if there's someone qualified to give an informed opinion on Spector basses, it is you!🙂
  20. Ok, I would like this sold now or off elsewhere, so BC price cut before its off to the musicshop...
  21. I've used Gee electronics in Warrington who were very good. Experienced with solid state stuff too, as a lot of amp repair places seem to focus on valve stuff.
  22. Wishful thinking Stub. 😂 Buy a Ric and get the real thing. 😜 Dave
  23. Indeed, as have any number of brands of "miracle cure-all" sprays. There is nothing worse than cleaning up all the additional damage caused by the willy-nilly use of such substances by those who received their electronics education via the internet. Also, these sprays can damage plastic components, some plastics (including wire insulation) can become very brittle from exposure to this stuff.
  24. Thanks @lurksalot Oh, and no certificate required ta on my part, spare yourself the time 😊
  25. Wish I had the cash for this. A 🇨🇦 dingwall for the price of a new NG2/NG3!! GLWTS
  26. We're gonna need to map an ancestry of it 😜 Who ordered it brand new?!
