  2. Si I've tried using perspex once and I'm not looking to do it again. It's a difficult material to work with and the use of power tools was really tricky. I gave up as things splintered and scratched. However other people may be far better at it than me. Rob
  3. Fair enough...
  4. Hi, yes, happy to post to Germany if you are happy to cover the postage. If so, send me a message and we can discuss further. Cheers ✨
  5. Ah bummer I keep forgetting the imgur issue. Somehow I can't get them uploaded on Basschat itself, keep getting error -200.
  6. To stop chipping and make it more pleasant to handle. Very easy with a router. Also paint won't take well on sharp corners. 12mm is good.
  7. Not seen this particular tool before, but EFF has a long and positive history so I'm inclined to trust them. My firefox browser gets a pretty good report. I guess it might be useful if you get a bad report and change your browser security model because of it. If this really bothers you, you should probably be looking at Privacy Badger, another of their tools.
  8. These are superb basses, my one has been my go to bass for over 20 years and thousands of gigs, fab necks and the Fralins are such warm punchy pickups... I prefer mine to any Fender Jazz I've ever played.
  9. Selling my CV Mustang bought off @Loz back in the summer. I really wanted a short scale mustang as I love the look and the tone, but despite giving it a fair go my sausage fingers are proving too much for the narrower string spacing and shorter scale. It's in excellent condition, not a nick or dent on it apart from a small scuff to the top of the headstock and some very low level tarnishing on the bridge/tuners. I've fitted a new set of Labella Mustang Flats before deciding if it stays or goes and these are pretty much brand new. Looking for £285 - happy to meet up within reasonable distance or can post if buyer sorts a courier (I have a dedicated shipping box from Andertons I can use to send and it’ll be well packed) Thanks, J

  10. i have played a lot of amp heads and two brands just stand out: Ashdown and Peavey Max. These have great tone shaping and i love how they just make a fantastic tone. I am not talking about the additional effects which i can craft from my pedals/modellers. I don't really like the DG Amps(I am a metal bassist) and feel that their pedals offer a better value than their heads which are mostly one trick pony but that one trick they do it better than everyone else but their clean tone isnt something i dig in.
  11. Bought this from @woolf earlier this year and it is a superb bass - but with the arrival of a wee mini Bass Apprentice. I can't see me having the time to justify three 4 string basses in the house! So it's up for sale. Borrowing the previous ad until I get some pictures - but the bass has been hung on the wall next to me since I bought it so it hasn't changed at all. Any questions fire away! Will source packing materials if necessary and can discuss postage costs.

  12. Hi Mike, things were different back then and processes had to be handled through the distributors directly Safe to say, we prefer the way things are now, the joys of improvement hey Cheers, Marcus
  13. I’m quite old but the old loosen them off and twang them routine is not something I’m familiar with?
  14. My band Shreds. will be opening for D.R.I. in Hull next year. I’ve been a huge fan since about age 14. How crazy is that!?!
  15. Ah, I'm sure it looks great, but imgur doesn't work in the UK anymore

  18. Will keep an eye out for your collection of hens' teeth next.
  19. I assume it’s to lessen the impact to your fingers when you walk in to some immovable object loading in. I’ve got a hell of a lump on my little finger where I bashed it on a hand rail carrying a tumble dryer - if only it had rounded edges…
  20. I agree - has me debating if I need two.

    BC 8" cab

Stupid question, but could you make a cab out of perspex? I'm thinking something like the appearance of a glass tower block where the plates are held with stainless buttons and the like? Or maybe just face a plywood box with thin sheets to make it look like a glass cube. Just wondering really, I'm not going to attempt it
