Cheers fella! Yep, it's been a year in the making and many auditions were had... It was tough finding the right people to cover the main Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons and Michael McDonald roles!

It’s my pleasure to kick off a feedback thread for Chris. He contacted me to ask if I’d consider selling a spare 6SL7 tube that was bundled in one of my pedal sales. I had a think about it and agreed. All the details were sorted swiftly with prompt payment, and clear and friendly communication. I’d happily transact again. Many thanks.

I bought a valve from Peter and it arrived quickly, as described and well packaged. Great seller! Thank you.

Superb @cetera, so many great songs to choose from. Once toyed with the idea of a Doobies tribute but couldn't get the right musicians up this way. That band is so good. Fantastic FOH sound too. Well done. Dave

Ibby SR300 Jazz-esq Neck, Smaller, Lighter, Comfy Body Shape, Loads Secondhand, bound to be one near you, £250ish Or a GSR200 for less than £100 - but the SR300 is well worth the extra.

Recently met Mike when he was buying some equipment from me. A great guy, straightforward and open transaction and a pleasure to deal with Buy/ sell with confidence

Green boy Audio Fearless F112 ( 2 of them)
Acebassmusic replied to Lakland5's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I've just done a deal with @Lakland5 and bought one of his cabs today. 👍 From my limited play through this afternoon I must agree with the previous comments, this cab is small but this doesnt seem to limit its capabilities either in tone or volume 😮 Maybe I should have been quicker and bought them both 🤣🤣 -

Hello. Late to the party. Recently got this very guitar and ended up here whilst trying to research it. How's the bass working out?
-
My old band used to do this and I can testify that it is indeed quite the workout.
-
Too many strings, too complicated for me. £130 collected, postage can be arranged at buyer's cost and risk. Waggle stick not included. It's had a fret polish, a setup and a set of fresh strings since I rescued it from an auction but the fingerboard could do with a few more doses of oil - this might not come across perfectly in the photo.
-
I think even Nigel Harisson clocked that one back in the day.....😇
-
It's not listed on any of the various DX7 presets and cartridge sounds including those from 3rd party vendors so it's probably something someone at your college created.

Frankly, and this isn't a universal opinion, but within bounds almost any mainstream bass can handle any sort of playing. You will get people who swear by their fender stuff and people that go the other way, but if you are learning, as long as you have something that is basically decent to play you will do fine. In fact you won't really know what it is you want until you have tried something you don't. So just go ahead and try everything you can try. I am pretty well exclusively a 5 string player who likes non fender things, so I can't really say about fenders (except my new £62 bax jazz bass like aquaition) but always a fan of things ibanez and maybe 80/90s japanese. You don't really need reviews of aria pro IIs, they are all basically good, some better than others. If you have the option to try stuff, just try it and see how it feels. I have never heard the increased noise on a P / J, electrically that seems very unlikely, but people don't like them because they are not a 'standard fender thing'.

I'm another Shure 215 lover. They replaced a KZ10 and a custom fit set. For me the 215 with the large silicone ear pieces sound fantastic.
-
Not sure. We had a DX7 at college and that was the patch I always tried to use. Nice warm string sound, which at the time didn't sound dated.

Which ROM was it on? Was it an original unit patch or a DX7II patch?

It was my favourite patch on the DX7.
