  1. Past hour
  2. It's filed in the same drawer as rack straying over the sides of the cab underneath. A drawer that must not be opened!!
  3. I'm not averse to a charity gig, for a charity with which I have sympathy. If I agree to do it, I'm not interested in any other financial arrangements. I make the decision entirely based on my own parameters. If they're met, I'm ok with it. If expenses are offered (or a fee), it's a bonus.
  4. I've carried out some testing of cabs loaded with different drivers. The results showed that two cabinets with a similar frequency response will usually work as a stack. They don't have to be fitted with same-size drivers; they just need to be close tonally.
  5. They're struggling on but I've seen quite a few new Sportsters and Pan Europeans recently. Personally Id rather have Triumphs version of either of those. Harley, like American car manufacturers only build products for the American market and don't consider what the rest of the world wants
  6. I'm really not trying to irritate you πŸ˜… but all I can see on that graph it at 50% centre position, all frequencies are around 0db, with bass at 0% it cuts everything under 250hz by about 6db, treble at 0% as much as 13db. Highly asymmetrical, but it definitely doesn't seem flat at 0%, particularly in the highs, which I would have thought would be pretty noticeable on a Stingray pre?
  7. Imagine it next to the Sabre in VBR πŸ˜‰
  8. So it's essentially a drive focussed multifx? Just wondering (other than XLR out) what it's offering over some of the more popular multifx's some of which have very usable drive patches? I guess, fingers crossed, it will be nailing the classic sansamp sound better than most!
  9. I think a passive Ray ( with Flats ) is the way to go πŸ˜‰πŸ€” Looks lush fella
  10. walshy

    Jad Freer LUCE

It’s something I’m definitely looking into atm mate. If I’ve a break between gigs I could send it up for you to try maybe
  11. Thanks David, I'd like to take it please. Will PM you.. Cheers, Nik
  12. Not all music is played to a metronome. It's like playing the accordion; just because one can, it doesn't mean that you have to. Most drum machines have systems to create a more 'human' feel, to avoid having the percussion too metronomic. Just sayin'.
  13. Hi All, Also looking for a MK1 GP11 schematic, much obliged if anyone could help out. Cheers Rae
  14. Take the curve to -6bB, which is a reference point when it comes to measurements, and tell me it's a cut and boost...
  15. I jut ask as I know there are two versions.
  16. Drummers are a big problem, couse they play with or without metranoume.
  17. I've attended many of these "charity" events and, whilst I'm more than satisfied that the promoters haven't made money off of it and ticket prices/charity buckets are going to the charity, I'm 99.99% certain not a penny of the bar profits have, before even thinking about who is taking a wage on the night, and that's what I take huge issue with.
  18. Is it good for metal?
  19. I forgot to switch threads, Chris. I thought I had deleted it πŸ˜ƒ
  20. Yamaha use it and they know their stuff πŸ‘
  21. Final price drop Β£62 posted for this wonderful delay (was pretty much Β£200 new)
  22. Yep there's so much admin! πŸ˜… Okay that's a good point, thanks! I guess it's all in the communication - if it's not clear where money is going and why, totally understand the frustration. In my view the responsibility is on organisers to be clear with this stuff, otherwise the void gets filled with assumed intentions and it can get messy pretty quick for everyone, even if everything is actually fine. But we can always ask for clarification, and if everything's above-board and communicated well, no scheming going on, we can just say yes or no? Shame on these venues/events that use 'charity' to their own end though, that sucks.
  23. This where I get lost off... It may well be the Mk1 with no mid control but the HX has dozens of ways of adding/subtracting mids while using the Tech 21 block. Surely if the core tone is right, then anything else is just embellishment as you'd get by tweaking EQ from the bass through to an amp or desk?
  24. It was just a case of sorting out the stops and the accents.
  25. Damn what a beauty
