2025 SE Bass Basheroonie! Sunday 9/11/25 *CONFIRMED*

I'm hoping to turn up on Sunday. I'm going to bring a box for measuring pickups and my early Vigier Arpege as a guinea pig. Not expecting to pass through Kent when I leave Portsmouth... -

At my local liquor store the Korean owner would routinely spray the very stinky homeless people who made up a large part of his customer base with Febreze and an air freshener called Ozium and it seemed to work pretty well. They kept coming back, anyway. I doubt any Pedulla case has seen the same levels of poor personal sanitation that those poor wretched souls were subjecting themselves to. Might well be worth giving that combo a try.

Yamaha SA-70 if you can find one. Short scale, a delightful instrument.

This time last week that same amp was on for £99.99, it was re-listed on Sunday or Monday. -
No problem in theory, but a couple of extra factors to consider. The first one that springs to mind is that, whether or not the shim was at the back of the cut, nevertheless the shim or gap thickness will be higher the further back the extended neck you go. As such, you will still have a wedge of centre block wood from the end of the fretboard to the cut - and so some planing or sanding would still be needed if you wanted the centre block to be flush with the body between the cut and the fretboard. But yes, that would work too. As the saying goes, (all types of) guitars are made up of a bunch of compromises held together by hope...

Line 6 Helix Rack boxed Silly Price Drop
fretmeister replied to johnbiffa's topic in Effects For Sale
Such a brilliant bit of kit. I've had mine since they were launched and I've never regretted getting it. It's the heart of my home studio. I know some people are holding out for the L6 Stadium - but so far they have no plans for a rack unit of it because they are unconvinced that a rack would sell as many this time round. The L6 main guy has said so repeatedly - and if it ever comes it will probably be £2000 + foot controller. So this is a real bargain.- 5 replies

Well, the Gruvgear is going back to Thomann. It's too short and too wide. The edge of the strap presses exactly on the edge of the metal plate in my shoulder. So nope, not for me. The 2.5 inch wide version could have worked but the 4" is too wide.

I think that's absolutely the case, I sadly have neither

2025 SE Bass Basheroonie! Sunday 9/11/25 *CONFIRMED*

Where is it trying to get to? Then maybe whoever is nearest can step in. I’m very happy to help but I’m quite a way from where I think it needs to be! -
JS Bach for Bass by Joaquin des Pres is a good one if you want to do more than just running up and down arpeggios, as is Jonas Hellborg’s ‘Chord Bassics’ which is literally pages of chord diagrams - but equally useful to a bassist who wants to improve their playing and theory.

That looks well difficult, I’d say that’s harder than some of the jamerson ones I’m trying my hand at , good luck

Chucking new stuff in a skip should be a criminal offence. Felt bad skipping a 20yr old tumble dryer today that I’ve already fixed twice in the past.

I'm in the States, and I remember making a 'dumpster gold' comment once here on BC and people jumped on me that you'd get arrested. The cops here aren't going to do anything about junk thrown out (only if there's a dead body in the trash can), they have way more important fish to fry.

2025 SE Bass Basheroonie! Sunday 9/11/25 *CONFIRMED*

Thanks @bass_dinger, Was just asking as I'm trying to coordinate delivery of a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Combo to Chris, aka @Beedsterbut he's unable to attend on Sunday. So he and I were just wondering whether anyone more local to him than me (I live in Bedfordshire) might be able to help? A sort of Basschat 'relay service' as it were... 😁 @Wombat has kindly offered to help already, but in case that might not pan out as hoped, then it'd be great for Chris to have other options...? -
Got mine today. Cant say if it's worth the £1400 price at the moment as ill use it as a controller mostly, but its a great update to the old version. Keybed is a bit better (never had an issue with the ol version), more knobs and sliders make a world of difference. Happy so far. Will put the old one up for sale in a few weeks I guess.

I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer collection in person. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you

Recently acquired and cleaned and sorted by myself. Its a phenomenonal amp. So much power, but also so much tone shaping with the 3 presets, eq band eq, and eq tilt dial. Dual compressor which is very good. Mixable valve and solid state preamp. Fx in and out, with adjustable volume dial. Xlr out. Really is top notch, everything works perfectly. Also comes with original receipt and manual. Only selling as my van has been written of and my car is a 2 seater so I can't transport it, so I need to swap it or buy something I can fit in the car. Also comes with dolly trolley. Definitely a classic and collectors item. This is in great condition. If it doesn't sell, I'll just take the head out, rack it, and get 2 smaller cabs. Need the funds to buy a smaller modular rig, so not really up for swaps unless it's something like a squier 40th bass, sire bass etc. Collection Leyland Lancashire
