Hi Phil, PM sent. Mike

bamboscha started following Boomerang III Looper

I bought this direct from Boomerang. It’s never been gigged, and barely used in the house. More or less like new, boxed, with PSU. I have stuck 4 small squares of 3M dual lock to the bottom. I’ll leave these on, as it’s pricey stuff and if you haven’t tried it, you really should. It’s great stuff. £250 posted, or collect from near Colne, Lancs.
-
I've not heard the term "cheese head screw" before. I shall now attempt to use it in polite conversation as soon as possible. Postage is more than the screws, but the total is under £8 so I'll probably get some.
-
Quick update. Still not bought one (as I bought another double bass). Now I'm just waiting for a few mre gig bookings before buying one, but it would have come in handy last week!

Shaggy started following 4u shock-mounted flightcase (Rhino cases) South Wales
-
If your band name happens to be "Lady Marmalade" then you definitely need this case..... Rhino cases 4u flightcase, shock-mounted with a 2.5cm layer of high density foam sandwiched between the outer shell and inner rack-mount frame to reduce transmission of vibration to your precious rack gear. Very rugged pro quality, built to take a life on the road. So not light. I bought this (on here I think) a few years ago for £50, but never used it as I sold the valve amp I'd bought it for. Definitely well used, but no cracks or issues; lids fit and remove smoothly. Rack-mounting frame both fitted front and rear. External dimensions (lids on) in cm: L: 57, W: 60, H: 29 Internal aperture dimensions (lids off) in cm: L: 40, W - 48.5 (i.e. standard 19"), H; 19.5 Free for collection only near Swansea, stickers and logos no extra charge I've also got a Castle cases bass guitar flightcase in good nick somewhere that I'll also be listing as free, will take pics when I find it

Well, the fact it was being pulled across by the tuner wouldn't have helped - taking the A string off the tuner so you could get a straighter run would help, or even putting it onto the D tuner to get a true representation. And if you get a B string, by whatever means, before taking it anywhere, you could see if the B fits in the nut as well which would save you 25 euros plus postage.

The latest bit of wood is bought and drying in preparation for a future build; a lovely bit of Lebanese Cedar that smells gorgeous.

I don't think you have a legal leg to stand on - see https://johnpye.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/John_Pye_Auctions_TC.pdf section 7. Although unlike Gardiner Houlgate, they don't give you an option to request a condition report. Gardiner Houlgate say for any mains-powered electrical item "*Please note: Gardiner Houlgate do not guarantee the full working order of any electrical items. Do not assume that this lot or any other electrical item is fully working. Please ask for a condition report before placing any kind of bid", which I have done for various items - a typical report for an amp is "This item is in good working condition. No pot noise or crackles."

Also a Subsequent 25. Modulation into delay into reverb. Nothing else that beast needs. The Canvas line injector serves some good utility - the effects here are stereo, so it gives me a stereo out to the desk, but also lets me sum to mono via the thru for on stage monitoring or if I just need to rehearse with a bass amp. I use this on the tabletop next to the synth, not on the floor. -
Looks absolutely stunning. Always love the look of these modern iterations, burny/esp, indie, retrovibe etc I get all the spiel about protecting his brand and all that but an import ric would sell like crack. I guess he just doesn't like money! And cue the flames

Warwick setup questions

You are retaining the tension of the E A and D and losing the tension of the G BUT most B strings are of a similar tension to a G string; ergo the overall tension remains relatively similar.
