The bridge J pickup on my PJ Euro sounds nothing like the bridge on my Jazz bass so I doubt the J neck pickup will sound much like tge jazz neck pickup.

There was. Wasn't great though unfortunately for basses. No sorry that was Portsmouth I'm thinking of.

Love it. I'm not normally a fan of black hardware on a Jazz but that white/black/maple aesthetic really works. And I'm a complete sucker for a maple/dots J neck. 😎

JJ Config - Euros, NS (USA) Hello Spectorettes, What do we think of EMG JJ config basses? Do they sound like a sort of Spector version of a J bass? What's the spacing? Does Neck Through take it too far from what a J bass is about? What's that limited edition Euro '79 JJ one? Any views? Anyone selling?

I'm talking more stage use than what I assume you mean is at home

A lot of it is about contact and connecting with people. My band did a charity gig last weekend. It was a great gig, we were buzzing. It was really good to see some people I hadn't seen in a long time, made some new friends and we raised several hundred quid. It was better than a lot of the paid gigs we've done.

Not sure I'd ever find a use for anything above +1 oct anyway with our material!

That looks genuine to me, the only thing that might have been changed is the pickguard, didn’t the sunburst come with a white one?, I can’t exactly remember now it was a long time back, I briefly had an Olympic white one

I press the little preset changer button with my toe to change presets between songs all the time, works fine - not ideal, but it’s not a problem really

Prior to the pandemic the band I was with had got quite sniffy about how much we felt we should be getting paid for gigs etc. But when lockdown allowed it, me and a few mates put together a classic rock cover band and did some free gigs primarily to help some struggling local venues. Made me realise how much of it is actually about the human contact, not just money.
