I think "Tales" is the best solo Miller LP (not that I have them all) "Eric" , "True Geminis" "Rush Over"

Hi. I've made a demo with these passive EMG-SSD pickups. I ran it through a Line6 Pod GX. It went into the Ampeg. About 30% gain, 50% the rest except low mids on 75%. Into a thumpy compressor pedal then into a limiting compressor. Chose some different playing styles and pickup settings. Played a few bass lines to tunes that are a bit above my pay grade from ear, from memory, which produces better bass lines by allowing gopping differences in notation and timing. Original Tempos are retained. I rate the pickups. Very clear and articulate. The bridge pickup has so much mid, buy lowering the neck pickup slowly against it, the sounds sweeps through mid frequencies. Bridge Pickup only, doesn't have much fundamental strength, but the mids are so strong. Yeah. Lively thing and light. It might be good enough for the world tour I'm expecting to be invited on, as I'm imminently discovered.

LukeFRC started following Doubt pedalboard Skunk Anansie

Dunno I’ll leave this here, there seems to be parallel paths which the hx stomp should be able to do
-
BassmanPaul started following LFSYs Monaco - how good?

Good point IF the venue actually HAS a PA system and a competent sound man to run it. Over here such luxurties are few and far between!

Is that true, I can accept that something might hold emotional value for someone but that doesn't stop it being bad? I mean I understand that people like oasis, I don't know why, but they clearly do, and that is ok. I am a lot more tolerant of other peoples music over 35 than I was before 35.

Hm I had a bass with a flat top and binding and it hurt my forearm when sitting. It doesn’t look like the ones with binding have an angled bit… I know the ones without binding do. How did you find it? I’m only looking out of idle curiosity tbh.

Where in the chain, at the end after any Amp/Cab Sim?

One of my favourite flyrigs. I just don’t use it. Basically a boost, big muff, ampeg amp sim and a Boss OC2 clone. It’s the same octave circuit as the Sonicake Octaver and Valeton OC10 which if you’ve seen my octaver comparisons nail that OC2 tone. DI out and fx loop, honestly if it had a tuner it would be perfect. But it doesn’t and I cover most of my gigs with the Darkglass Element

Up for sale is my great little Epifani UL 110. 250w 8Ohms. 11.6 Kg Bought for home use but has been to a couple of gigs as an extension cab to my old TKs 112 I had at the time. Easily powerful enough on it's own for acoustic stuff etc. Good overall condition. One of the bottom corner protectors is a bit damaged but it dose its job and the carpet is going a bit bobbly in places. Collection from St Helens. Not sure on postage yet as I'm pretty low on packaging and suitable boxes. Could possibly meet up if not too far.

Anyone else doing the Black Sabbath live stream?
Newfoundfreedom replied to Newfoundfreedom's topic in General Discussion
I think that's true of all great bands of that era. At least the ones who didn't die in excess. Social media is largely responsible for taking away the mistique of many bands, actors and celebrities. Much of the time not for the better. -
Craig Robinson started following HARTKE HA 3500 (silver face)

For sale, my Hartke HA 3500 I'm guessing it needs little introduction..... But a super reliable amp in very good clean condition and full working order. Compressor, tube and solid state preamps, 10 band graphic and high/low pass filters complete a comprehensive feature set. 350 watts at 4 ohms 250 at 8 ohm. Always found it more than ample for pub gigs and rehearsals. Comes with rack ears for rack mounting. Will include postage to UK addresses but NI and outlying areas I'll have to get a quote. An questions feel free to ask Cheers

Just in case anyone needs to source a Sire neck
Jean-Luc Pickguard replied to rainbowreality's topic in Repairs and Technical
That's a bit of a bargain. I though I got a bargain recently with a Mex Fender replacement neck from amazon at over five times this price. If only the Sire headstock wasn't such a munter.
