  1. Past hour
  2. Oh it’s absolutely glorious! When I opened the case to snap pics i did massively consider just keeping it. Still have another CW which won’t go anywhere! ☺️
  3. I can't help myself, I looked at this and thought that you could print feet that would replace the rubber feet provided and also fit into the dovetail groove. I have to keep away from thoughts of 3d printing, the possibilities are endless.
  4. Just buy ordinary round rainwater downpipe, it's a standard size of 68mm outside diameter and has to be a standard size to use all the fittings. I stick to this or 110mm pipe as they are going to be around for a very long time. I used to specify ready made ports but the availability changes all the time and it put people off building. It also comes in black
  5. Bumping to say this is also listed on eBay (if that's ok by the mods)
  6. I often end up searching for very basic terms like “bass” and just seeing what turns up. You have to scroll through pages of fishing gear and car audio but you get some gems. That’s how I found my Yamaha bass!
  7. Just bought Simon's Ashdown Little Bastard 550. The amp was posted out very quickly and arrived today, very well packaged. Simon's communication was excellent throughout with regular updates. It's positive buying experiences like this that make Basschat my preferred online marketplace. 🙂
  8. I can't even logon at the moment....
  9. If this was headless my brain would be frazzled ,and I would be very upset due to lack of funds at this particular time 🥵 It’s a Status and they are fantastic , as is this bass ! Keep this and sell the stingray instead 😁
  10. Dons back with some Leroy Sibbles
  11. Ah, so tone ISN'T in his fingers
  12. Happy Together - The Turtles
  13. Thanks! £30 for hundreds of pounds worth of software is insane! Their servers really aren't having fun are they? I wonder if tomorrow morning would be a good time to choose more plugins before America wakes up.
  14. I think the days of basschat being a lovely community where people sold on to fellow bass geeks and no one was trying to flip gear have well gone. Though I think we have to be careful with the why, not everything is people selling for profit, sometimes time passes and prices change, sometimes things get more desirable quickly - or other times people are having to sell gear for cash very quickly... I have a Lakland which I tried out and liked but was swithering to buy it or not, the guy was like "I need the cash for a car, it's a good price, please buy it" and came around my house to sell it to be en-route to the car dealers... What I normally do when selling is have two prices in mind. My mates-rate basschat price, and the advertised price, you know what - there's a big chunk of basschatters who will get it at the lower price, but the asking price hopefully scares off any flippers.
  15. Let's Get Together - Jefferson Airplane
  16. Mother and child reunion - Paul Simon
  17. There's one guy on Basschat, who I will not name, that makes a career out of flipping basses. He doesn't even play bass, just lurks in the shadows on forums like this waiting for his prey. He's flipped two basses of mine, one on Basschat and one on Facebook. He impersonated someone else to buy my bass on Facebook.... because I'd blocked him.
  18. Problems always occur in business, it's how you manage them that matters, and he seems to be scoring well. Best of luck to him I say.
  19. You’re supposed to be making electric guitars not perving over semi hollows!!
  20. Indeed - I recently bought something from him. Unfortunately it turned out have a small fault, but he seemed happy for me to return it. Currently it is in the hands of Parcelforce. I'm sure it's something he'll be able to fix so it can be re-listed (I spotted something else I'll bag instead).
  21. Today
  22. Yeah, he seems to be doing really well, he’s had some great stuff in stock.
  23. I remember going to see Bootsy's Rubber Band at the Clapham Grand and he didn't come on till about 2330, despite being billed as 2100. Everyone missed their tubes... And I went to see Jonas Hellborg at the Blue Note - due to an alleged difficulty getting hold of some fancy amp (you'd think someone would organise these things!) he came on about half midnight!
  24. 2008 China built 50s P bass, lovely Lake Placid Blue, Tri Tone pick up, excellent condition, comes complete with a Thomann gig bag. plays great, sounds great.

  25. I’m the opposite, I love the feel, but hate the sound. They make everything sound clanky to my ears. But, then I’ve only ever really played cheaper flats.
