I have some old Fender screws in the workshop. If Brian can tell us the dimensions, I can see if I have anything.

Probably THE best wireless on the market imo. This one was my main until the + came out and it’s just been my spare which tbh I don’t need. Amazing bit of kit, fully working and comes with new charger cable. No box but will be securely packaged up. U.K. postage included or I’ll be down at Brighton Guitar Show on Sat so can bring it with me.

Listening to equivalent music through those same 'cans' should give your ears/brain the references needed for your own stuff. Put some favourite reference tracks of similar genre into Garageband and compare with your mix. Adjust to get yours to sound as good as your reference tracks to your ears. This technique works whatever one is monitoring with, even if one's own hearing is less than top-notch.
-
Ah thank you, so you happen to know the size? The pin looks the same as the other two. I think I have one somewhere.

They sounded really thick and creamy but the tension was a bit too high (for me) on my Precision. Did a full setup when I stuck them on (was going from Dunlop Superbrights so very different) but they highlighted some fret unevenness that wasn’t an issue before and I couldn’t get rid of it. On another bass they’d be great.

Here you go Chris, just a bit bigger than a guard screw

Hohner "The Jack" Restoration

Latest step is a much smaller job. I just got some 12 mm and 6 mm dowel, and cut short plugs for each of the unwanted holes. The 12 mm section was for the back, where a bigger wider set of holes had been drilled part-way through, presumably to allow for the fitting of some switches with short bushings. The 6 mm went in the front. Both pieces were fairly tightly fitted so I didn't need to clamp them, though I did put some tape over the lowest one to hold things in place. I trimmed off the excess material with a chisel and sanded it all down. I'll need to put a few dabs of lacquer on there and sand it some more before I spray the body, because otherwise that end-grain is going to show through. -
I guess that’s why some have security on the door now.

Hi pete, I like a bit of Ampeg myself, that looks great and don’t think they are particularly prone to any faults really, just play it and enjoy it whenever you can, good luck to you

^^^ I've owned both amps and would definitely agree with this... The V4BH is easier to use and in a gigging situation, that's so useful...

Job lot of Lava Tightrope Solderless cables. 28 cables of varying in length from approx 2 inches to 2 feet, plus 1 long (2ft ish) George L's cable that I found in a drawer that i'll throw in. Most worked fine the last time I had them on a board, some probably need to re-assembled (haven't got the time to test them all at the moment). A couple scraps of used cable that can be trimmed/reassembled into new cables, and one purple bit of cable that has never been used. These are super simple to put together, there's plenty of videos on YouTube of the process. Will include one of the cable stripping tools as well. £200 + postage for the lot. The current Lava cable sets are £60 for 10 jacks/5 cables, so this is a pretty good deal.

After years of playing Fender P basses, I've recently started getting an issue with the forefinger of my fretting hand after playing, especially if it's a 2 gig weekend, possibly the early signs of arthritis. Having Sandberg's in the past I took the plunge on this lefty TT4, as I've always loved the necks. Three gigs later & no issues with my fretting hand. Added bonus it only weighs 3.5kg 😊

Here’s a question for you experts. My hootenanny button is missing. Should it be the same as the other strap buttons, and what sort of screw holds it in? It can’t be a normal screw as it’ll be too long, but a pickguard sized screw surely is too small to hold any weight (not that I’d actually use it?)

Lord Sausage replied to lurksalot's topic in Recording
It's just the second thing I've done using Garageband on iPad, a focusrite audio interface and some headphones I can't remember the name of. What I've learned is it sounds flat in the headphones but it is actually trebley and not bass enough. Will have to adjust or get some new cans. - Today

In addition to all of the aforementioned… Try not to concentrate too much on the mechanics of what you’re doing but instead try to listen, as if you are listening to someone else playing. It’s hard to explain, but I find that if I “take a step back” mentally and listen to the whole, rather than concentrating on what I’m doing, then everything seems to come together more naturally and it’s easier to relax, which itself is important.
