  2. Hi all I play in a classic punk band (With a few modernish songs thrown in) and I'm after advice on the above So playing Stranglers stuff for instance what would you all recommend that I use to get that "Peaches" type sound ect I have a Aguilar TH350 and a cab combination of a TC Electronic RS112 and a RS115 I've tried a Big Muff and Boss pedals ect but they don't really float my boat and I currently have an Ampeg pre amp and a Sansamp which is ok but not quite what I need may be over complicating things to be fair Thanks in advance 😊👍

  4. Up for sale is my 2011 Loar LH-309-VS archtop guitar in great condition. The stock P90 pickup has been replaced with a Kent Armstrong Vintage Icon Alnico II one, with the pots replaced with CTS ones, and a Switchcraft jack used. The neck angle on this one is perfect, and the action is currently 2mm at the 12th fret, with scope to go lower if required. A wonderful sounding guitar, both unplugged and through an amp, that plays really well. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk much preferred. I do have a box so posting is an option.
  5. I'll PM you. Thanks.
  6. This stack looks monstrous - that being said I wonder if this is being played in your soundproofed basement or you are lucky enough to: - have deaf neighbours or - live in detached house away from society. 😁
  7. The MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe is excellent, very versatile (including a Flanger option), and not overly expensive (sometimes sub-£100 used). Si
  8. Happy to 2nd this. I've been using mine since 2022 and its perfect.
  9. Why don't you go the full Monty with an 88 keys keyboard as these are the real professional pianos? If you like the Nord Stage Pianos, they use the Fatar keybed, which is, to me, excellent, and you can get the Studiologic (same company as Fatar) Numa X Piano GT (wooden keys) as it ticks all your boxes, except the IEC socket, or its sibling with plastic keys, the Numa X Piano 88 or 73. I own the controller version of the Numa X Piano GT, called the SL 88 GT Mk2 and it's a delight to play. That said, look at Kawai with their MP7 SE and MP11 SE (both with IEC sockets), and their portable digital piano (so with integrated amplification and speakers), the ES 920 (again all with 88 keys, but no IEC socket), But don't forget the Roland 88 keys RD-88 EX (no IEC socket) or RD-2000 EX (IEC socket) and the FP-90X (no IEC socket), which is the equivalent of the Kawai ES 920... And of course, the Casio high end digital portable pianos (no IEC sockets) models like the PX-S 5000, PX-S 6000 and the superb looking PX-S 7000 (they all share the same keybed). They are all in your price tag or bit higher.
  10. I'm amazed that a pedal this good and at this price is still not sold. Anyway, time for another bump.🙂
  11. I have a lot of good clamps so it's not any issue to glue and clamp. Easier than screws, no work at the end with filling, though I will need to fill some of the areas. Also just had a call from Penn Elcom apologising that the Armacab won't be here until Weds this week. Somewhat surprised as I wasn't expecting it until Friday anyway, so pleasantly surprised. Rob
  12. Alternatively, put the screws in from the inside. Also, fill gaps with wood filler to make the joint as airtight as possible.
  13. I bought this new in April last year, using it briefly before discovering GR Bass. As such, everything is in mint condition and I still have the original boxes too so shipping is an option. This is an incredibly versatile amp, so much so that I couldn't possibly run through everything it can do here. There are lots of video reviews worth watching, but I am going to guide you to our very own Dood's review here, which gives a good deep dive into the amp. Boss Katana 500 Bass Head (£734) Boss BT-DUAL Bluetooth adapter (£45), so you can adjust settings on the fly via the app Boss GA-FC pedal (£99)l, again, for ease of switching in a live setup Boss VE-22 Vocal Processor Bag (£74), a perfect fit for the amp, power lead and a couple of speaker cables I’ve added some pictures taken today but forgot to add proof of ownership. Hopefully folks will know I am a stand up guy on here and save me the effort of retaking the pictures.

  14. Horses for courses sir , I despite Black with a white scratchplate something chronic ... reminds me of cheap nasty argos catalogue instruments , so I wont try and change your mind ... our bands called " Limewired" so manky green is par for the course.
  15. Plus this has contouring; something that is pretty rare on shorties and is missing on the Mustang that inspired it.
  16. From a few weeks ago in Paisley, Scotland. Rocking a Musicman Stingray and a suitable suit!
  17. This is awkward. Mrs.Edge is taking me to see Six The Musical in the new year. I understand it’s quite good. Lucinda Williams in February, and a few others further in to 2026.
  18. To be fair that does look wildly different and definitely better.
  19. Thanks both. Some interesting thoughts there. 1. Active and passive. Although they appear to be very similar in volume they def sound tonally different. I need to try passive next time I have it out. Or back off the bass a bit in active, as you say. 2. Pickup placement. Yes, I do wonder what the D and G strings would sound like if the pickup was installed in the reverse position, keeping the E/A half where it is and shifting the D/G half to the neck side. If I ever put a J pickup in the bridge, maybe I’ll get it swapped over at the same time. 😂 And yes, it’s a cool colour!

  21. I'd love this! I'm often is Preston too... Only one thing missing, sadly - £195 🙄 Why do these things only come up when I'm skint? 😐 Don't suppose you'd be interested in a trade for an Aguilar DB115? At least it's a bit lighter and smaller 😄
