  1. Past hour
  2. I have a very similar project happening soon. It's actually an aquarium hood from 8mm ply though...
  3. Goid job it isn't a bass! Saw this in a pawn shop yesterday... put of by bolt on neck and no probuckers. Thing us I have an Embassy already which does the same job...
  4. So basically then @Phil Starr, it doesn’t matter half as much as people think it does as it’s a bit of a lottery, and as long as it looks fairly well made with no obvious voids and the veneers aren’t paper thin, than you should be ok?
  5. I had one of the series 1 USA pro jazz basses. The v mod pickups were fantastic, though very smooth when compared with other basses side by side but I thought they were fantastic pickups. I remember them giving a very good signal. Maybe an issue with the vol pot?
  6. I had a set of these on my DB during my db era. Rated them very highly, long lasting and (for me) a sane tension. GLWTS.
  7. I've been thinking a lot about this very thing today actually. I want to buy a new record so I have to choose wisely given the expense, so a vinyl version of an old fave is what will get me to put my hand in my pocket. After much deliberation ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for our winner... RUSH - Exit Stage Left (The crowd goes wild, ripping out all the seats. Everyone goes home naked.)
  8. One of Janek’s favourite pedals and it’s 100% chaos. I have one!
  9. Got couple months ago as a trial but decided to back to my original sets. Very little use (couple of gigs plus home trial), so much life left. The Corelli brand has jumped up in price so here’s an opportunity to try…
  10. That identity of drug culture music: 'pot will eat itself'
  11. I agree that it's an easy soldering job to get it back up and running but unfortunately I've always been terrible at it. That's why I tend to use EMGs or soldered harnesses
  12. ONE album? Crikey. Probably Queen - Greatest Hits
  13. In used but great condition. UK postage included.
  14. ☝️ This.
  15. I'd tend to agree with @HeadlessBassist. To get the number you're asking for, I suspect it'll need to be back together and working. Cool basses these. 👍
  16. And this is why i said ‘most desks’ in my first post about this. Ive had maybe 20+ desks over time and not one would allow headphones to be plugged in to a send jack and get a decent level.
  17. I like it. You used to be able to be able to get matching bathroom mats and toilet seat covers in this color back in the 90s. I’d perfume mine like a Victorian love letter.
  18. Aah, condescension 😂 I just don't buy the 'my taste is better than your taste' schtick, which is very much how you've come across. By your own admission, it's all subjective. You can't force people to like what you like and they're not wrong to like things you don't. I'd still be interested in hearing a Top 10 from you (or 20 - go as far as you want). Not because I want to knock it, but because it might lead me to listen to things I haven't heard. I wonder how many people commenting negatively actually voted. I know the P word is forbidden, but it is a bit like moaning about whichever party is in power when you haven't even voted. It's not going to change.
  19. Small, articulate Bass Cab in excellent condition complete with a Roqsolid cover which is also in excellent condition and cost over £90 alone. Dual Speakon / 1/4” Jack input & link. This is a really well made small cab that in my humble opinion punches well above it’s size & would be ideal for small Gigs, rehearsals, studios or add a second cab for larger clubs or pubs. The OR-110 is a front-ported lightweight 1 x 10” cab with a custom designed Ashdown speaker – making the perfect companion for the OriginAL Head or extension for the OR-C112 combo to achieve the maximum output from the 300-watt power section. Or for any Bass Amp or combo with an 8ohm speaker output. The cabinet is constructed using premium grade far eastern ply and is wadded to retain specific frequencies. The fine-tuned reflex port allows for more air to be moved, giving the little cab a surprising volume. Rated at 150 watts at 8 ohms, the OR-110 is one of the most portable cabs on the market. Adding further convenience, there is a top mounted grab handle positioned to offset the weight of the speaker magnet for ease of transport. For those pub gigs, pairing two of the OR-110 cabs provides enough volume to keep up with most drummers without having to DI through the PA. Otherwise – one OR-110 cab alone sits very well as a personal stage monitor, when using the OriginAL Head’s on-board DI to feed the front of house PA. Ashdown have focused their product offering over the past few years, delivering some really inspiring products focused towards the needs of the modern bass player. The OR-110 is no exception to the rule, building on the success of the OriginAL Range and adding something of real value to bass players delivering everything you need from a compact rig solution. The OR-110 Specifications are as follows: H:360mm 14.1” W: 390mm 15.3” 😧 360mm 14.1” Weight: 10.7KG (23.5lbs) Power: 150w Impedance: 8 ohms
  20. Page 69. Alt Out (CQ-20B) The Alt Out provides an alternative balanced TRS output connection. Source – Select any other Output or route the Listen out.  If Listen is set, when no Listen button is pressed, the Alt Out will be sourced from Main LR.  Listen is sent to the Alt Out at full volume for use with IEM systems that have input level control. For adjustable level, the headphone output should be used.
  21. Baking scales say 3.8-3.9kg for the weight. I don’t know how trusty these scales are, and they certainly can’t handle a full grown bass. But it’s definitely on the lighter side compared to my Jazz which is about 4.3kg. IMG_0433.mov
  22. Nice one for taking the trouble to read the manual on the A&H desk. Only additional comments from me are that: - this desk is very much geared to live gigging bands (they wouldn't have bothered with super nice touches like real time feedback elimination assistance otherwise, I suspect?) - and that A&H are a very reputable manufacturer, who aren't particularly associated with cutting corners.
  23. Hawkwind -Space Ritual Lemmy at his melodic finest.
  24. Fair enough... but just have a listen to the J-tones on offer:
  25. Radio Africa - Latin Quarter
