Yeah, but can it work over USB with the ability to turn on/off the FX?
-
I still have two. One active four and an active/passive 5 with separate tone controls for each mode, so you can get two sets of tones out by flicking active/passive it is enough
-
The full size one has midi program change and parameter changing and a full size midi socket.

Or, for those of us who don't move in the exalted circles of promoters, showing the landperson that you should get another chance.

Latterly No, 19 was Argent's / Music Room before they moved across the street

Absolutely not, but what are you wanting to achieve; a lighter weight?

This. My version is, every gig is the Albert hall. Several times I've been asked to join bands because the band leader liked what he saw, and one of them was the proverbial man and a dog gig. Every time you have a bass on your shoulder you should be giving 110%.

Would it be a sin to remove the gp11 preamp from my 1110 combo and marry it to a 500W class d power amp?

And the 70's. I used to go up to Denmark Street on a Wednesday afternoon, to buy the early edition and get to the good adverts before the rest of the country.

It's guitar not bass, but Peter Green's opening note on The Super Natural, of John Mayall's greatest album, A Hard Road. I think Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa dedicated their lives trying to repeat it. Lovely bassline by John Mcvie too - blues but not a predictable 12-bar. One of my favourite songs.

Panda were scheduled to exhibit at Guitar Summit last week but had to cancel at the last minute due to two of the team being ill. Here’s one of the demos they’d prepared:

I get asked occasionally, do you play with a pick or your fingers? Yes. I can't really imagine not doing both based on what the song requirements are. There are a few songs in the current cover band set that I switch between pick and fingers from gig to gig. Crazy Train, Panama, Summer of 69, it depends on how I feel in the moment. Picks are so versatile, available in all kinds of materials and thicknesses and can give different tones, feels based on how you use them I'm learning 4 songs for an audition, they are: Saturday Night's Alright - Fingers. No brainer. I Bet You Good on the Dancefoor - Pick held straight/flat Mr Blue Sky - either but pick held flat (Carol Kaye style) makes sense to get the feel of the original. Moving to New York - 100% pick held at an angle so it slides on the wraps and gets that scraping sound. The EMGs + Haz and a DCX Bass make so much sense of using the pick in that way.

Only saw this thread now so sorry if it's too late I play a Corvette standard in drop A.. the above advice is correct around filing the nut If that feels drastic, especially with brass, then just use a taperwound low string D'addario do a .135t gauge that sounds stable in a 4-string.. I use the NYXL and you can buy the string on its' own Any taperwound string around 130 or higher will do and the rest of the strings will fit no problem without mods -
You're not wrong Russ, but I don't think buying a bass is actually a rational transaction for most people. Particularly with expensive and esoteric basses, there's a certain amount of romance involved. It's significant that a lot of people have mentioned how G&L's major perceived shortcoming was a lack glamour and excitement, leaving them with a worthy but dull image in the minds of too many consumers.

How are folks finding the MXR Synth Bass pedal? Guessing by the constant state of sold-outness in the UK and Thomann there must be quite a few BCers with them. On Marketplace there were 5 already sold and I'm wondering if that's a usual amount for a very popular bass pedal. Looking to get a 2nd hand one or wait til the new ones become more available.
