  2. Not heard of this builder before, lovely stuff indeed: https://www.capursoguitars.com/prodotto/spiral-deluxe-6-strings/ Think this is the above from their website, what a cracker of a bass. GLWTS 👍🏻
  3. Hi all, I had previous purchased 2 Wal Basses (Mk I & Mk II) on Basschat. My two reference members are WalbassUK (Paul) purchased his brilliant MK II, and Anthony Lewis (Tony) buying his passive MK I. I am selling my custom made Barcus single cut, 5 string (passive) with custom made Wal inspired humbuckers . Gregory Barcus is the brilliant Luthier from Minnesota, USA that handmade this custom beauty in 2013. He uses my bass as his profile pic on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BarcusBasses/photos His craftsmanship is out of this world! I am parting with this beauty since I am playing my 4 strings all the time, and the Barcus stays safely in its original, well padded gig bag. The woods used on this bass are gorgeous and give tons of resonance. It has a reinforced , dual truss rod and I never seem to have to adjust the neck, even during climate changes. Built like a tank, but without a hefty weight. All USA made components. Super clean condition since I rarely played or required a 5 string. The sweet price included FREE shipping across the pond which I am sure you know how PRICEY shipping is, especially for a bass from the USA to the UK. It will be fully insured and very well packed. The FREE shipping only is honored by paying the original asking price, otherwise the buyer would pay the ship cost. Thanks for looking!
  4. I hadn't noticed the Lego theme. The dimples on the top are for the second Basschat speaker. So I could run them together for a little more volume. I suspect that I wouldn't actually put them on top of each other but the option is there just in case. Now that I've seen that I might try and make the lego theme a little stronger 😊now sure how but il ponder on it.
  5. Yes... I associate her with a mustang too.
  6. Fellow Bass players...Clap your hands, tap your feet, and sing along with all the family.
  7. This is Love For Tender. it comes from the album Get Happy. The Attractions were going for a more soulful, 60s pop sound. The production of this album has been criticised - indeed Bruce and Pete were both reportedly unhappy with the recorded sound of their instruments. Fortunately nowadays we can remix any song ourselves and get virtually any sound we want to. As ever any comment or advice is welcome. Love For Tender.pdf
  8. I like it!
  9. Super rare Iron Ether Super FrantaBit - basically two FranaBits in one box, with foot switches to flip flop between them both, as well as switch between Degrade and Obliterate mode. One of the most versatile and sought after Bit Crushers ever made. Grab this now, without the painfully long wait, shipping, and a massive VAT bill when it arrives in the UK! Now £385, inc postage in the UK. Will consider the following trades/part-exs: Hologram Microcosm, Iron Ether Polytope, Providence Anadime Bass Chorus, Pedaltrain Novo 32 (hardcase), Pedaltrain Terra 42 (hardcase), Cioks AC10.

  10. I saw her standing there - artist unknown
  11. A Christmas Bass face and a helping of festive Cheese...
  12. That’s really interesting 👍
  13. I find it helps to add a washer before fitting the dog bone tightener.
  14. I agree about imperial measurements being difficult in some aspects of professional work. Last time I mentioned Absolutely love it. It has a great 'Lego' vibe to it. Nice one.
  15. I’d suggest starting in London. Downing Street might be worth a look
  16. Today
  17. Definitely US. This came from a parts bass made by a Sadowsky employee. No real markings on it to identify as such. The pickups were scrubbed out and headstock left blank for fear of repercussions. I still have the neck - Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, Graphtech nut, Schaller tuners.
  18. I agree. And I've gigged two cabs many times where the lower one is just a shelf. At the SE Bash recently we did a non-scientific "test" with one Monaco vertical-mounted on top of one horizontal. We walked around the room listening to just the vertical and then did the same with the both plugged in. It wasn't particularly loud but it was very revealing with that dispersion going on. @stevie will be able to explain it properly but what I got out of it was that now I'm playing in a band where I need to use backline to fill the room, I'll be thinking more about this and probably taking both of them with me just in case. I know one Monaco is amazing but the pair with one turned through 90 degrees was like another dimension. @cetera and @Wolverinebass were there when we were doing it.
  19. I’ve been looking at this for ages too, looks superb, better with cream pick up covers and the colour is 👌👌👌
  20. So it's ripping off its own Phil Lynott model then.
  21. Looks nice! Doesn't appear te be fireglo indeed, but also not like autumnglo. Autumnglo has a way more soft brownish to yellow fade. This looks more like a traditional burst. Might be a special edition? Anyway, enjoy! 🙂
  22. This is an amazing bass, I love Sterlings and the 5 is very special. This one looks a peach. A great price too. I'd jump at the chance if had the funds and didn't already have one. Anyone tempted should snap this up. GLWTS.
  23. Fantastic cabs and for me, the HD is Bergantino's finest range, if not its lightest. I use the HD210 and it's very probably my favourite cab (and I've had a lot!)
