  1. Past hour
  2. Good bang for buck, if you like Mayones basses.
  3. Thank you for that compliment! Very much appreciated.
  4. Love it…….a true series of Basschat traits going on here! I love a nice Ricky! Well done.
  5. Absolutely glorious Nick 👍👌🙏
  6. Bought a couple of months ago from BC stalwart @Sibob, this is absurdly cool (hope it's OK to pinch your advert pic, Si?). However, despite being much lighter than your average late 70s P at 8.87 pounds, its unfortunately still not light enough for my damaged back and neck (back story: horse riding accident, 18 cracked ribs front and back in 2023). Carrying it to and from a 2 hour rehearsal last week resulted in significant pain over the next 24 hours and this made the decision for me. So its collect from a public space in Barnes SW13 or delivery at cost. Asking what I paid, £2200, which I think was a fair price. More details and pics in Si's advert below. It's in the same condition and comes with a padded Fender gig bag. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/514522-1978-precision-olympic-white-maple-lightweight-sold/ Please note: I am away from home for a few days and can only post or meet from Tuesday onwards.

  7. Damn! Masterful playing, control, phrasing...10/10. What a lovely sounding bass x
  8. I'm with you on the new gear front. They get the odd 2nd hand gem that comes in from time to time. My friend Caleb used to manage the bass dept and made a real effort with the display but it's not the most exciting selection. Great team in there tho...cant really fault the place!
  9. Don’t think it’s too late at all @sbrag im only a maybe myself right now
  10. Yeah same re. the Drop - disappointingly didn't find that much, if any, improvement over my Zoom B1-4. Look forward to getting your thoughts!
  11. Make me an offer I can refuse
  12. A somewhat unlikely combination of players and song but here you go! (I'm reminded Jeff did sub for Tony Levin on the ABWH UK tour.) Enjoy...

  13. Hi everyone, I'm selling my Origin Effects DCX Bass Preamp & Overdrive, which is in almost new condition and comes with the original box and papers. This pedal is fantastic! It can be used as a preamp for recording or for directly connecting to an interface. Additionally, it works great as an overdrive/distortion pedal. It offers numerous voicing options and has an active EQ for both the low and high frequencies. This pedal is a wonderful addition to Origin's Bass Rigs and sounds particularly good in front of the Bass Rig 64, providing extra drive and saturation. I've also enjoyed using it as a tone shaper when recording; it allows you to really mould your sound, whether you prefer an old-school vibe or a more modern, hi-fi tone. I may regret selling it, but I want to explore other options. The journey never stops! I am also interested in trades (+cash from me if needed): a power supply like Cioks DC7 or Strymon Zuma (I need at least 7 outputs) a chorus pedal, preferably a Boss Waza Craft Dimension C, but I can look at other options pedal loopers/switchers (to switch pedals in/out of the loop) Free insured postage in the UK, or we can meet in London. Thanks for looking!
  14. Yep, still here. On eBay though so hurry if you’re interested.
  15. Is it too late to sign up for this? Ive been meaning to come for a few years and am hopefully free this year! I don't know if I'm being dumb but I can see the date and the address but not the times. I'm happy to bring a few bits along. Cheers
  16. Think I'll have to drop into Andertons and do a test between the Digitech Drop and this for accuracy/latency. I will never need it much below dropping to D standard anyway but I've never been 100% satisfied with the Drop pedal...
  17. Thanks Pete. I guess I’ll have to take some of ours with us. Some of us use IEM, but i in particular need to as I’m playing keys without an amp. i can plug my IEM’s in to a small mixer but not sure how I’ll hear the others. Lots of workarounds but won’t know until on the night.
  18. Unfortunately, I can’t manage a full scale Rickie these days: the necks are too wide and the overall weight is too great (even the rare walnut ones), so that severely limits choice. The old 3000 series SS look like proper shorties, although they were not a shrunk down 4000 series, which is what would have appealed to me about 4030. However, I’m sure I could get my local luthier to make me a custom Rick-alike shortie, or even have a go at it myself, for much less than the 4030s are likely to sell for.
  19. 2012 EB MM Stingray 5 … in pristine condition comes with original MM hard shell case in great condition I can only see two small blemishes on the right hand side of the bass which are very difficult to even see .. tried to capture these these in the pics looks gorgeous with the white body, matching pick up cover and maple fret board Sounds and plays like a dream Price inclusive of shipping to anywhere in the UK
  20. Today
  21. If there's that cap, I stronly suggest you to replace one with a bypass switch pot. Bridge pu is unnecessary thin if the cap is there as always ON.
  22. Hey mate is this still available? cheers Sal
  23. Weird coincidence. On the day that it was announced G&L were no more, a scrote in France stole all The Beths's touring gear, including the G&L Fallout that Liz Stokes has been playing since the band started. They're all playing Fenders for the rest of the tour, borrowed off their support act.
  24. The G&L humbucker basses / active basses are ridiculously powerful. Really good instruments.
