How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

this^ we have just had a request for I Wanna Be Sedated for one of our gigs, they don't come any simpler than that but it's a great song and good fun to play IMO. It's one those where you think why is this simple song so good, I remember a quote for the Gay Moore when talking about great guitar riffs, "A great guitar riff is one that is so simple you think to yourself why didn't I think of that?"

Frank's bass was one of the few you could actually hear, apart from Geezer's (with his massive purple Ashdown rig, which I now really want ) and Josh from Halestorm. Poor Rudy Sarzo deserved better in the all-star segments, he was completely buried in the mix.

Love his work with the Mizell Brothers production duo. In particular the Gears album by Johnny Hammond from 1975.

Pedaltrain Jr Classic with softcase. Selling as I'm downsizing my board, so this is no longer required. Solid board, lightweight, and the bag's in pretty good nick. I mounted my Cioks power supply to it so there are a four badly drilled holes currently covered by the velcro. The velcro adhesive must have melted near a stage light and it dripped onto the paint on the back, but apart from that it's a goodun. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:

Walrus Audio Canvas Mono DI/LI. Selling due to downsizing my board. Great little pedal with with switchable pad, ground lift, and summing options. Adds a nice bit of colour too! There's currently velcro on the back, but easy to remove cleanly. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:

Line 6 HX Stomp XL, selling due to downsizing my board. It's in pretty good nick, it's spent the majority of its time on a pedalboard in a protective case. It currently has some custom and purchased presets on it, but I can reset it back to factory if preferred. It comes with velcro on the back, the rubber feet are in the box. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:

They're staying in seperate hotels miles apart... A breakup would hardly be 'unforseen'.

There probably are because unforeseen cancellation clauses go on every tour contract, but Live Nation aren't just going to front up nine figure sums if they didn't think it wasn't going to happen. People were talking like both sides haven't been reliably fronting arenas for a decade since the bust-up days.

There is room for many styles of bass playing. I do a lot of root note stuff for one cover band and they love it. So does their audience. I also play in bands where the bass lines are a marathon. Always serve the song.

Anyone else doing the Black Sabbath live stream?
Harps replied to Newfoundfreedom's topic in General Discussion
Pantera seemed to have the worst luck with the stream, everything was quiet except Zakk. Alice in Chains also suffered with Jerrys vocals being stupidly quiet and completely losing sound for a song but both are much better on the fan filmed videos. It did feel to me that with the spinning stage, one half had significantly better audio mix than the other -
JPJ started following Ozzy's final gig with Sabbath
-
We didn’t attempt to get tickets despite both being life long fans because we just don’t enjoy stadium gigs any more, especially not at the ridiculous prices they charge. As I said, I’ve been a fan for close to 50 years, and whilst I’ve loved the music, I didn’t really appreciate Geezer’s playing until I did a short stint in a Sabbath tribute and had to learn the songs properly. So far I’ve only seen YouTube clips from this latest final show, and looking at Ozzy, I’d say this really was the final ‘final’ show. But for me, they didn’t disgrace themselves or their legacy. Sure, they weren’t super tight but hey, it’s hardly like this gig was off the back of a tour where you could reasonably expect them to be road ready. Thinking out loud, I suppose Geezer and Tony could do a farewell gig with Tony Martin, just to close the whole thing down……….
