  1. Past hour
  2. Just did this and the latency differential seems really high, at 14ms. It just does not feel like that when playing and listening. Same in a band setting with the singer also using the 2nd reciever. Hmm, maybe our ears are out or there's an issue with Ardour's selection calculation if the range is in the milliseconds. Test rig: Phone playing Footloose (its fast and better than listening to a metronome!) using Moises just bass and vocals but with added autogenerated click track USB-C out to a minijack splitter one stereo to mono cable to input 1 on an Audio Interface (Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen) one stereo to mono cable to the M-Wave WP-12 transmitter. Receiver into input 2.
  3. That reminds me, I must buy myself an ice lolly...
  4. Telegraph Rodent - Dire Straits
  5. No drummer, it’s an om. Backing acoustic guitards, yes even on sanctuary (his version is quite gentle) so I should really resist the urge to smack the ampeg svt patch to 11
  6. It’s inevitable to look for comparisons. Here’s the FI v3 doing a classic Greg Philingaines part and coping pretty well: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dt5u-xJGXNTmXBKSkYH7fSTBPm5vTlgV/view?usp=drivesdk Here’s the isolated part: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EBujKhsBj4awZp1YbbgglrSPeljJ_R2H/view?usp=drivesdk
  7. Absolutely love my fretless version. If I had the spare cash, I'd certainly have this. GLWTS.
  8. ...and where did the thread went? "You don't have the permission..." Has @Kiwi been talking to my ex?
  9. Eight note overflow here! Slow down a bit @Bilbo!
  10. All In A Mouse’s Night - Genesis
  11. Great rig at a bargain price
  12. The problem I have with NAM is that anyone can make a NAM profile now. They're not all created equal and you can waste quite a lot of time trying to find the needle in the haystack on Tone3000.
  13. Just brought a scratch plate from David. Very prompt and easy purchase, excellent friendly communication and very safely packed. Thank you very much David, much appreciated!
  14. First Bass Owned: Squier Affinity Precision 'Go To' Bass: Fender MIJ Precision, which is my second and now only bass, therefore... 'Your' Bass: Fender MIJ Precision
  15. Thank you .. it was a very dry light brown colour on arrival ( built in 2024 ) and looked awful for a new bass. Its looking very nice now and is lovely to play too
  16. One thing to add that is more relevant for users here: the FIv4 takes compression very well. I've tried it both with an optical compressor and the ubiquitous Cali76, separately and together. Both together in particular gave that final polish and punch you get on e.g. 70s records. I haven't tried the internal overdrive, but it also responded well to a smidge of pedal drive to emulate those classic synth lines where a small amount of overdrive juices them right up. I did wonder whether I would need a compressor before the pedal to help it, happily I can say not and will probably keep this immediately after my tuner in the chain. I didn't think to check background noise when testing which, as I was on studio-grade headphones, means it was probably very quiet since my compression chain adds a lot of gain.
  17. It's really not doing anything, and isn't shiny and new... Would be happy for it to be used 👍
  18. Just realised the one I linked isn’t the one I’ve got, I’ve got this one - https://www.roland.com/us/products/gomixer_pro-x/
  19. Oddly enough, I had the opposite thought, as a life-long shunner of FSOs: "Well, if I HAVE to have a Precision in my collection, it's going to damn well say 'Fender' on it". So I bought a new licensed Fender neck and had a bass built around it [it was the only way to get a P bass with my preferred spec/visuals].
  20. Its all part of my oeuvre and propitious modus operandi
  21. Sweet Home is fun to play as is Dakota, although Dakota is better if you're locked in with the drummer
  22. That is a great looking Precision, awesome job on the ‘board, really dark/rich
  23. There is probably an upgrade but I was ANGRY. Don't be coming at me with your reasonable thoughts It is not all bad, I have NAM sitting waiting for me. And that is probably better.
  24. Use of such language might have scared potential buyers perhaps…. 😂
  25. Yes. It went smoothly for me………at least at the Japanese side. They use EMS as a default, which is efficient and does their job well. The destination partner for EMS is likely to be Royal Mail in the UK. Here the partner is BPost………enough said. Five weeks to assess the import costs and administration fees. So, for my single experience, it took 3 days to be exported from Japan and arrive in Belgium; one day in customs; 37 days with BPost awaiting presentation to customs! Needless to say, I won’t be using that service again. No fault with Zenmarket or EMS Japan though.
