  2. Any video of the bass that you are able to share? What scale is it please? Does it have a case? Many thanks.
  3. I don't need another 4-string Yamaha. But I'm tempted. Good luck with the sale!
  4. Having been on BC for a while now (and also being a bit older and wiser) I don't understand when someone says something is rubbish or someone is rubbish when they / it aren't. You just don't like it. Is Morrisey a rubbish singer, just because I don't like him (as a singer and as a person)? He does what he does and I do quite like some smiths songs Are all P basses rubbish just because they don't work for you. I don't really like super ornate single cut basses where the top bit goes right down the fingerboard but I'm sure they're very good The food in Wetherspoons. Actually I think it's ok for the money, very good value but it's not gormet and that's not expected at that price point your thoughts please
  5. Bought a lovely PJ bass body from Geoff. Great condition and carefully packaged. As others have said, a top BC'er and a pleasure to deal with.
  6. Nope, no response from the OP
  7. All well thank you, hope you are too.it is dead on 9 lbs but it balances very well,Rich
  8. I've been sacked once and replaced once I knew I was getting sacked (18 years ago now) because the bassist wasn't speaking to me at gigs. We had a rehearsal that turned into a band meeting in the pub (bass player didn't come, he was on holiday, the spinless w@n***) To be honest, I wanted to leave because I thought the bass player was a tw@t anyway and I'm still mates with the other guys. It was a great band, originals, good following, punters always singing along to the originals. I'm ok with it Now as for being replaced............ Underhand at best by the band leader and the singer We needed a new drummer, so the singer gets the drummer from another band he's in Great, I thought but the drummer wanted to bring his bass player with him If the band leader had been honest with me I could have booked other gigs to fill my diary. But he wasn't. He told me after they'd done some low key gigs (which I was asked about by mates, 'how did it go the other night at X?' I've actually met the replacement, by chance, very recently. Nice chap, great player and he apologised, he knew nothing about it. I don't want anything to do with underhand stuff, we're human beings and can be quite sensitive at times Be honest and be fair I would walk on this occasion as I won't be part of this kind of thing
  9. (Even Better Than) The Veal Thing - U2
  10. I was really hoping that a batt-o-meter measured something completely different 😞
  11. I use a midi foot controller connected to an ipad running the dreamfoot app to trigger chord changes via garageband keyboards. Its not perfect but my band wouldn't know how to use click tracks. Its like a (very) cheap version of Geddys Moog pedals.

  14. Hi all, Unfortunately, an unexpected bill has come in, which means that this excellent Fuzz/Filter from CMC Audio (who make the Proto Type overdrive) has to go. I bought it a little while ago, and honestly, while it’s excellent, it’s also the most valuable of the many fuzzes I have, so needs-must. More info from CMC here: https://cmcaudio.odoo.com/shop/bi-filter-fuzz-33 I made a video of one particular sound I liked below, but there’s more videos on their Instagram and on YouTube which shows it doing straight Fuzz tones, as well as synthy, envelope filter tones too. You can attach an expression pedal, and a holding down the footswitch means it works as a momentary switch (until you take your foot off of course), a short press and release obviously still allows a latching function. No box, but it’s as-new other than Velcro on bottom and will be packed very securely. I’m open to part-ex’s (what u got?), but need at least £100 cash. These are circa £230 new + plus delivery from Belgium + VAT. BFF.mov Cheers Si

  15. You must have been quick off the mark on that one ! I set the thread up with 2 votes as I did last month , but as soon as I’d pressed the button I thought I would change it to 3 the 2 votes version could only have been live for 5 minutes at most ! ed to add I checked , original posted at 18:27 , edited version 18.30 😁.
  16. Hi, Did you buy this amp last month? cheers
  17. It's born for funk and rock music! Thanks to the ramp and 35 scale it manages to maintain a relatively low action and can be played also with a... "physical finge style"!
  18. I've thought about getting one, mostly to tune E-C and defret, to go with my one remaining US Bongo (I had four at one point!). Fretless US Bongos are as rare as rocking horse s**t. And I had one and let it go! Might just keep an eye out for a US one at this point, I think. The ultra-hot neodymium pickups and the 4-band EQ ARE the Bongo sound and there's nothing available aftermarket (that I know of) that mimics that. Q-Tuner do MM-sized neo pickups, but I've no idea if they're based on the Bongo design or sound anything like them. And Trickfish and Noll will do you a 4-band preamp, but they won't have the frequencies of the Bongo's EQ.
  19. These three pedals are probably three of my 10-15 most beautiful.
  20. I've had TI flats on my Lull PJ5 for at least 10 years, could be longer. IMO they sound as good as when I put them on. I always play with a lump of foam under the strings. A set of D'Addario NYXL's have been on my Sadowsky Jazz since 2018. I don't like the zing of new strings, but the NYXL's still have enough life in them to sound great on a gig.
  21. I Lamb I Said - Neil Diamond
  22. Hi, I haven't had these for long (I used to own both these pedals many years ago, but bought them for the second time recently), but a recent change in musical direction has now made these obsolete. I have about 700€ invested in these and I' m looking to get back 650€ for them which seems reasonable considering the ridiculous prices the seperate pedals go for these days. I'm selling to fund some new hardware and onboard pre-amp for my main axe, so I'm not interested in trades this time, sorry.. Shipping from Belgium. Sales pitch: Up for sale is this magnificant duo of rare pedals made by Spencer at 3 Leaf Audio. The Proton is his take on the Mutron III filter and it doesn't get much funkier than this! The Doom is a unique sounding fuzz that is extremely dynamic and can get supersynthy. When combined these pedals offer a wide variety of funky and synthy sounding tones that are used by lany great artist that are looking to get someyhing "extra" out of their pedalboard (think of Stuart Zenders work with Jamiroquai, Tim Lefebre, Janek Gwizdala,...) Due to the very limited production these are very hard to come by and they keep going up in value, so finding a set like these two is quite a rare opportunity. Both pedals come with the original packaging and can be shipped worldwide. Kind regards, Don
