Depends on the LED board. There are both, CC and CV systems, there. Constant current is very common in luminaires, but especially stripes are using constant voltage drivers. It is very nice that there are lots of DALI drivers, but also Casambi (wireless) drivers have become widely available (Osram, Tridonic, TCI...).

A very knowledgeable and talented blues performer. His Blue Guitars compilation is well worth a listen. Does this now make Bob Mortimer the most famous Middlesbrough person alive?

Dear Tractor, you just don't understand the finesses of GyroDec. You need to listen to the sound it doesn't produce. A friend of mine changed his CD, because the mechanics made so much noise. I have an old Technics SL-1210 that I got for free, because it was filled with liquor, something that contains hell of a lot of sugar. I managed to clean the frames and to my surprise the electronics were intact. Had to buy a new cover and a platter cover and a cartridge that was NOS Shure V15 type III. It has been running for two decades with no issues so far. -

Properly sad news. Saw him in concert numerous times and his slide guitar playing gave me goosebumps. The Road to Hell is the album/track that really made him famous but some of his earlier stuff is awesome. Wired to the moon and Shamrock Diaries are massively underrated albums IMHO. Not only a great player and a brilliant songwriter but a genuinely humble, honest guy. Gutted to hear this.

Had a few pints here, looking at the for sale section, and trying to remember the name of the fella that couriers basses??

I love this one. Same meat, different gravy An old mate of mine had a long and varied career as a film camerman. He was telling me just a few months ago that the best time he ever had was following Chris Rhea around Italy filming his self-funded film all about cars and ice cream.

Parameter assignment Nice YT review by this bassist who's a regular on Talkbass. Some really cool things to be done with parameter assignment, which is something I've just started scratching the surface on - was reminded of this clip by @MichaelDean's above post and I think Sean is using quite a lot of the same fx patches to build up his organ sound? I've started the clip at 06.22 in to dive straight into the relevant bit re. parameter assignment.

The sticker dot inlays can be removed simply and safely with Goo Gone. I detailed that in my for sale posting. 👍 if you wanted to install a very reasonably priced onboard (or use their pedal preamp) , https://lusithanddevices.com/ in the UK makes incredible preamps starting 75 pounds sterling which can take you into Wal bass sonic flexibility. 👍 -
On the back of that question, is the effect the same (more or less) as having a slightly loose earpiece, or is there more to it? i know i lose a lot of low end when one of mine gets a bit unseated.

Stainsby Girls was indeed a great song, very Springsteen 👍

Often overlooked when folk come to talking about top slide players, but Chris had both great chops and tone. Stainsbury Girls is the standout track for me. Sad day.

Lurksalittle couldn't salvage mine, could she? My singer mate has a cold (yeah, right, he just can't be arsed) and I'll have to do it otherwise. Actually, remembering that the lyrics are a little 'spicy', best I have a crack at it. Sorry to bother you. As you were -
Get them told! What next, supporting the "wrong" football team? It's a slippery slope...

Nope you’re doing exactly as it says @Clarky. Ultimately if you plug into the “Power amp in” you are simply using the TE1200 as a power amp with the volume open up 100%. I tend to run a preamp In front of the amp, and use the Trace preamp to take out any boom or add a bit of mid as needed for the room, that way I also control the volume from the amp

I was sort of agreeing with your original statement, in that I pick the bass that makes me look good in the band (in my head, looking fancy). Another consideration is the bass that makes me feel good - that I love playing, that will get me 'that' sound. When I'm in the zone with the bass, I'm probably looking as good as I ever will. 🙂

I'm gutted. I remember I discovered his music when I was at uni in the 80s . "Shamrock Diaries" and especially "On the Beach" were go to CDs for much of the time. The latter is still one of my favourite albums. RIP Chris 🫶

Can I be cheeky and piggyback here? I have a TE 1200 which sounds great on its own. However I just got a Bassrig 15 preamp pedal for an old school B15 sound and tried to use the TE 1200 as a power amp. It works through the Power Amp In (rather than Effects return) input on the rear panel. However, the volume can only be controlled by the Bassrig, not the TE 1200 which seems weird to me. The manual says "To use the TE1200 as a power amplifier only, apply the signal to the power amp input. This loop is after the OUTPUT Level knob". Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance

He’s always been there hasn’t he, calmly doing his thing. If I was gonna be a rock star, I’d want to be the Chris Rea type of rock star. RIP Chris 🙏

Ah no, that’s really sad. Was just listening to Driving Home for Christmas the other day and enjoying his voice. Tasty guitarist too by all accounts.
