  1. Past hour
  2. Just to let you good folks know that Brian (earlpilanz on ebay) now has a template for the V5 24 4-string.
  3. Stow me away - Peter Frampton
  4. Peach Guitars have one, 10lb 14. My vertebrae crumbled just typing that!
  5. IIRC the black one is still the one he has in WHUFC colours now this new black one does have a maple body though, so it should sound right (and weigh the Queen Mary 2 down quite nicely) I sold my hammers one because it was just too heavy for me )
  6. I’ve not used my Lionel with the band yet but I certainly like the sound of the pickup at home. Yes it’s a bit more modern sounding than Fender pickups but don’t find it to be that much more.
  7. Yeh, it seems once there is a scam you get a lot of it. That is what we get here.
  8. Probably my best ever purchase was the 3 day Crimson guitars course to refret and fret level (and set up but I was already ok with set ups) so good in fact, that I'm going back next year for the 2 week (10 days) build a guitar course My HW 4003 and Ampeg V4B are also up there with very good Haven't really bought anything else (IIRC)
  9. One Way Snore Another - Blondie
  10. For those of you without Google Maps, be aware that Spondon is a suburb of Derby. Never been there, but I've known of it all my life ... ever since my first BSA.
  11. If I did get another one, then the other would get an EMG P-X. That's my other favourite P pickup!
  12. I actually use a old cheap Noise gate pedal to do this for my own personal Bass Mix ,into my IEM's headphone amp you might have one laying around to save you buying the behringer one. but its super cheap ... so maybe just go that route and then she doesnt need a dedicated IEM pre-amp
  13. Those fanned frets don't look awfully fanned to me, and you clearly gave up on the torzal twist ...
  14. Hey, Quickly made an account here to say that I got exactly the same message on Reverb just today. Different phone number but also from UK. Location 1702, Argentina. Pretty big red flag. Cheers, Y.
  15. A new neck and a replacement body and you'll be about there
  16. Talking In Your Sleep - Crystal Gayle
  17. I'll bite! We've not managed a video yet, but here's a Spotify link, the only song I've ever recorded to feature a (mercifully brief) bass solo but don't let that put you off: We've also just released a (very questionable) Christmas song as a bit of a nod to that glorious tradition. Spot the obvious reference on the cover art:
  18. Strangely over time, it seems he hasn't reeally had that many - he was given a couple of rickenbackers and a yamaha, the other things he seems to have got himself.
  19. Thanks that's useful and that description of your Spector is bang on how I hear/feel it. Do you have an actual figure, or range of figures, for that weight? Been experimenting recently and found very modest differences can be significant when it comes to neck dive on a light body. For reference my current jazz neck minus hardware weighs about 780g, has that slightly chunky 70s profile.
  20. my first bass back in the day ..
  21. I've just bought a Genz Benz NX212t. Great cab. It just works, it's loud enough, it sounds really good, I can't fault it. Previously, I've had a Schroeder 212 with the angled driver. On its own its bit more of an acquired taste, it's quite mid heavy, but very loud, small box and sounded great in bands. They are quite rare though. If I hadn't bought the Genz recently I was mulling over the Lsys cabs. I didn't quite have the budget for one though.
  22. I don't see any chisel marks??
  23. Today
  24. Just to be clear the price I am asking is £3000. That being said I am sure anyone who might have an interest in a Bass of this quality and condition would drop me a message to negotiate.
