  2. Now £140 inc. UK delivery
  3. I had one years ago. What an amazing amp and such a bargain. GLWTS
  4. Cioks 4 Eventide? I’m keen on this one as available here in Aotearoa from a reliable supplier
  5. Some of you may remember Verellen Amplifiers, the guy who made the Meatsmoke, and other such good and tasty valve amps. Well, seems like he's not been idle since shuttering Verellen Amps and has formed Verellen Devices, which just popped up on my Instagram feed with this post: Given his past work, I'm inclined to think this might actually be quite an interesting item, at least for those of us who are still running valve heads and feeling the sting of the constantly shrinking availability of said valves.
  6. Get a bigger amp and turn up a bit after every song!
  7. It makes me think of Paul's Grandad 😉
  8. Today
  9. They said they found a dodgy contact on a wire to the volume pot. They've re-soldered it and the bass is on its way back to me. Fingers crossed this will have resolved it!
  10. It is. I feel bad as I don’t want it to seem like I’m criticising the seller. It’s just that I can’t really tell what, if anything, is original. It seems like it’s just half a neck. But maybe I’m wrong.
  11. I think it also helped that John Weathers would stick to a 4/4 rhythm, even if the others started playing syncopated polyrhythmic stuff. You can keep a foot tapping through some of the densest Gentle Giant moments. Fantastic band, usually with a really good grunting P Bass tone pinning down the low end! My minor gripe is that their live setlists were fairly conservative versus the spread of stuff they put across their studio albums. There are lots of grey market Gentle Giant live albums with almost identical track lists but wildly varying sound quality. Great if you want to listen to fifty versions of Knots!

Still seriously contemplating getting one. I figure I can create a NAM model of my current main tone from my Zoom gear as a starting point, and go from there! What would be a good, small expression pedal to use with one of these? Something that would go well with the unit's small footprint?
  13. Immaculate 12 inch bass guitar speaker. 600 real watts, fabulous crystal clear Vanderkley tone. With official cover. 14. We wants it, Precious, but we can't affords it. We wants it so badly!
  15. I'm looking to sell these items together as one rig.
  16. 2200 is ok, where are you based?
  17. Agreed, polite, humble and being overly nice to the entire staff. It goes along way. I've seen bands come in like they're doing you a favor just by their mere presence. I just don't understand where that kind of attitude gets you anywhere. And I understand it's not easy for everybody. I just happen to love talking to new people and making sure to make my conversation about them and what they're up to and not about me. Daryl
  18. I'd always thought it was the Precision, though, having seen a few live vids of Maxwell Murder, Time Bomb, etc. where he was using the black 78 Jazz, I subsequently suspected he'd actually used that...So this is a total surprise!
  19. The Strain - Bonzo Dog Band
  20. Blast from the past. I have a few of their albums that I will dig out again.
  21. Can't argue with that.
  22. I'd check out the fender rumble or one of the Aguilar tonehammers in the For Sale section here. Amazing amps. But any time I was confronted with a TC something drastic went wrong with it so I'm hardly objective.
