  2. I get the impression that the P-16 comment was about adding more monitor mixes rather than remote operation.
  3. Perhaps somebody on Basschat is local to you who can help with the cutting? My knowledge of the East Anglia area is zilch so can't comment. One option might be to clamp or screw down a length of straight wood on the inside of where the cut should be and to slowly cut through with a hand saw. That's how it used to be done anyway. If you go off the edge, at least it's on the waste side of the wood. That's one of the most difficult bits, the others (to me anyway) are cutting the large hole for the speaker and the port hole. I used a cheap trim router, but it could be done using a small hand saw. I am very happy to print you off the port pipe for nothing and post it down. If you are concerned about making a mess the speaker hole, I can also print you a little cover for the edges to hide any mistakes, that's the thing below. Its amazing what you can hide if you try hard enough There may be other options that people can suggest. If you were closer, you;d be welcome to come round and do it here or take some tools off to try. Rob
  4. What a fantastic place to live with a music culture second to none, I'm jealous! Personally, I'd still keep the pedal; you'll probably make new contacts in Ireland with the skills to diagnose/fix it, and it could still prove an asset at home.
  5. I’ll definitely take a look at as many turntables as I can find in the @£1500 area. The Clearaudio Concept looks like a nice deck & I’ll show the Mrs it too. The problem we have with most new turntables that we can afford, is that they all follow this “minimalist” design approach. If you took the badge off of a Rega, a Pro-Ject or a number of other brands, they all look like they’re from the same template. The Linn ticks a lot of boxes. It’s made locally to me, it fits in with our decor, it apparently sounds good (even with entry level tonearm/cartridge), it’s upgradable, and it holds it’s value (should we decide to sell). I’m still open to finding alternatives to it though.
  6. If my computer and KD-10 had sold, I'd have had that. GLWTS
  7. Don't worry, Steve saying "X is Y for people who don't like Y" is his standard formula for saying "I don't like X and I don't think anyone else should either".
  8. I have all the bits, except the plywood ready to go for a 12" cab. Unfortunately, illness over the last few months has prevented me from doing anything. I don't have the wherewithal to accurately cut the ply, so I am looking for a local supplier that can do it. My local B&Q doesn't but having seen the quality of the ply they sell, I wouldn't want to use them anyway. Congratulations @rwillett. I found your journey very inspiring. I might eventually get round to building the cab after all!
  9. Not really - but might depend on what you're offering? One thing that springs to mind, is an EHX Mel9 pedal.
  10. Output from the CQ mixer to your IEM transmitter, to your receiver/IEM... yes. All mixing for your output done via the app.
  11. So three different model numbers - but they are all basically the same price. That's weird.
  12. I've actually been to see Sleep Token and while not my thing, I can completely see why they are so big, the whole show they put on was fantastic. If you were a fan I can see how you could get so drawn into the whole 'cult' of Sleep Token. My daughter was going to see them at London O2 with her partner but they split up, none of her friends wanted to go so I went with her, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
  13. Could it be a P special that has been modded to be a PJ at a later date? That third knob (furthest from the jack) looks to be in the wrong place. Looks like a decent job, mind you.
  14. So you can 'plug your IEMs' into the CQ mixer and use the app. You don't need a signal amplifier in the chain?
  15. These were very recently MIM....they've kept that quiet.
  16. Some listings are on Andertons too: https://www.andertons.co.uk/search.php?search_query=ibanez mode No mention of projected weights. They look nice, and fill a gap for their product range. I would like to see the white with a matching colour headstock though.
  17. The ibanez jazz looks great but way too many knobs. Adjustable bridge would have been nice.
  18. Off topic but I can't wait to see what Schecter, ESP, Charvel, and Yamaha have planned for this year. Hopefully something!
  19. OK folks, looks like we're back up and running on the following basis: The hall is booked for 11 October at a cost of £232; I will need to have received pre-payment of £15 from AT LEAST 16 Bass-Bashers to cover our costs; As payment for the hall is now due, immediate payment by anyone willing and able is encouraged so we don't have to cover the full £232 ourselves; If we don't have the attendance numbers we need by the end of July, we can still cancel the hall booking and get a full refund; I will do the pre-event organisation as usual; Mrs S and Scrumpette Janey are more than happy to do teas & coffees; Everyone will bring their own food and preferably cup/mug so that the only washing-up at the end will be a limited number of hall cups/mugs; Everyone will take their own rubbish home with them; We will need at least 4 'early bird' attendees to set the hall up (tables, chairs, power grid) for the day; There will be a raffle as usual; Any cash surplus will either be refunded to attendees or donated to charity - TBC. Provided the above is acceptable to at least 16 of you guys, then the South-West Bass Bash is back in business 🙂
  20. There will be no future owner, well, not until I've popped my clogs. We're emigrating to the Republic of Ireland. So not as crazy as Australia or Canada, and I have the longer VW Caddy so I can get all my amps, basses, etc. in the van and take them over myself. As to which cab I prefer, I've not had a chance to really play with it yet - I'd only just got over Christmas when we had an offer on our house so everything has been pretty crazy since then.
  21. I added this idea to the wishlist forum on Anagram Answers - allegedly, some DG staff, such as Ivan, look at these and provide feedback to the team. Feel free to upvote. TRS footswitch support | Anagram Answers
  22. No, they don't have hardware personal monitor mixers for this CQ line of mixers - only the higher-end stuff. There is, however, a personal mixer app for smartphones that replicates many of the same behaviours, and it's free. It just lacks the immediacy and 'hands-on' approach of hardware. 23. Selling my Ibanez RGD Iron Label RGDIX7MPB 7 String as I tend to reach for other guitars nowadays. Bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Bareknuckle Ragnarok and I still have the original. Currently tuned down to drop E but new set of strings and it'll be easy enough to put back to Standard. Couple little dings in the finish that have been pictured. I can post at cost but will need a bit of time to find a box!
