  2. He doesn't like that everyone knows his name and has seen his little winkie. No one cares and I doubt anyone would know it was him or remember his name if he hadn't tried to initially cash-in by seeking publicity and recreating the photo when he was old enough.
  3. These babies showed up… Oscillator Devices Trash Pandas. Incredibly powerful expression pedal splitters. I had planned on these being able to do what my Expressionator AND Source Audio Reflex could do… and you know what, they can… BUT… silly me had not realised that to access the LFO engines you need to control them with midi, which isn’t part of my setup and I’m not going down that rabbit hole again, so I guess these need to be moved on. After paying £50 in tax and duty, plus having to pay the same on return to get a refund, returning them is not an issue. Urgh. Expect them to be for sale soon. If you use midi, or don’t care about the LFO functionality, these are badass!
  4. Classic 1 pedalboard with hard tour case. Been used for a short while but still in great condition. I have the original box so happy to ship at buyer expense.
  5. Amazing Caveman Audio BC-1 compressor for sale right here. Adds a quality and tightness to your tone that has to be heard to be believed. Currently on the board for a Mr King on his World Machine tour so you know your in great company! Works really well in conjunction with the Caveman Audio BP-1 which I also have for sale at the moment too. See www.caveman-audio.com for more info on the top quality pedals.

  9. Now £80.00. Boss RV-6 for sale, this one is mint and in perfect working order, no box, collection welcome or UK insured postage for £8.50 BOSS RV-6 Reverb Effects Pedal Combining high-end sound and wide-ranging versatility, the BOSS RV-6 takes pedal-based reverb to the next level. Reaching beyond the capabilities of previous generations, this powerful stomp employs the latest tech and legendary BOSS know-how to make it easy to get amazing reverb tones instantly. From subtle rooms to modern shimmer effects to long, evocative reverbs, the RV-6 envelops your tone in lush ambient spaces that endlessly inspire. BOSS RV6, Simply Great-Sounding Reverbs Packing the latest BOSS DSP and updated algorithms, the BOSS RV-6 gives you eight highly musical reverb effects in one compact pedal. Add body and depth to your core tone with standards like Room, Hall, and Plate, dial up swirling richness with the Modulate setting, or surf it up with a vintage-style Spring reverb. Dynamic mode automatically adjusts the effect depth to your playing touch, providing deep, immersive reverb that won’t turn your tone to mud. And modern players will love the new Shimmer and Reverb+Delay modes. Dialed-In Reverb Sounds at Your Command The BOSS RV6 makes getting high-quality reverb sounds with your guitar quick and easy—just select a sound mode, tweak the knobs to taste, and play. But while its operation is simple, the RV-6’s sound is rich and sophisticated. Under the hood, each mode includes a huge array of detailed reverb parameters, all perfectly tuned for guitar by the BOSS engineers with direct input from many pro players and sound engineers. Even as you adjust the selected mode with the Time and Tone knobs, many parameters are simultaneously adjusted inside to create the ideal voicing for every setting. Analog Dry Tone and Versatile I/O While the BOSS RV-6’s reverb effects are high-tech digital, you can rest assured that your straight guitar tone always remains pure analog as the effect is blended in. Convenient auto-switching jacks let you integrate with any pedal chain, with support for mono, mono-to-stereo, and stereo-to-stereo operation. And by plugging into the B input only, the BOSS RV6 outputs a 100-percent wet sound, great for working with more complex rigs that employ parallel processing chains and mixers. There’s also a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal, allowing you to control the effect level in real time as you play.
  10. Now £350.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00
  11. Lovely. Simply lovely...
  12. It's interesting this thread was revived just now, because I've been asking myself this question a lot for the last two weeks. My car is dying and needs replacing soon, and financially it comes at a bad time so I figured I'd need to let a few guitars or basses go but I have a hard time deciding which ones: I quite like the range of different tones in my arsenal, but I barely have an active band anymore and little desire to find one. So realistically, I could do with very few instruments. When I ask myself "Which one do I play the most?" the anwer is usually simply "The most recent one I bought". I have a few favourites that are very versatile but don't excel at one type of tone or character, and I have a few with a very defined character that do a certain tone very well that I happen to like, but it's usually the latest acquisition that gets played the most. Currently that's my Fender Mod Shop Jaguar. I know I have too many because a few of my guitars and basses mostly stand in my rack unused. When I do play those they always bring a smile to my face though: because of how they sound or play, or because of memories of former bands and gigs. My left-handedness adds to my hoarding instinct, because I have found that seller's remorse is a right pain in the butt and lefty guitars and basses are extra hard to replace because they can be so rare. It took me 10+ years to find two "identical" guitars to two I foolishly sold once. Would I risk that again?
  13. Your forgetting there stuff under the top layer….
  14. Must’ve cost him a fortune to keep pursuing this.
  15. If you ever run your passive bass straight into a passive DI, or indeed through some true bypass pedals that are not engaged, then there is a chance that the passive di box will load the pickups on the passive bass down to a point where this can be heard. If you can hear it, then there is a chance that you do not like the tonal change. The physics is a given but whether it's audible depends on the pickups and the di, and whether it's a bad change depends on the player. In those situations an active DI alleviates the issue. If you have some pedals that are NOT true bypass, or pedals that are turned on, or anything else with a buffer like a wireless unit or an active bass then a passive DI will not experience those loading issues. Actually it will, but just so much differently that you can't hear it. In short you would be fine with either. I don't think your pedal is true bypass, and it won't matter either way if it is turned on. I did a comparison of an £8 and £150 passive DI box on here a few years back if that helps you. The superficial differences in sound were not meaningful to my ears, but worth noting that the LBP certainly feels better made etc. I still have several nice DIs including the Radial Stagebug 2 that would be my recommendation for someone to buy, but I always reach for the LBP if I want passive or my 20 year old Countryman for active. The only times I really use a separate DI now is when we're working with an external sound company and I want to protect my Quad Cortex from an unknown PA system, that's nearly always the LBP's job.
  16. Hmmmm... just looked on the BA Systems page and their systems all pretty much seem to be flying the flag for sticking a box on a pole above a sub, one on each side. Is that not contrary to every bit of guidance that we all read about and agree is NOT the thing to do? Just saying!
  17. iSpot plug of interest in a trade ?
  18. Mr Zero is way ahead of you… I bet it was comfy though.
  19. Caught a band in Brighton a few years ago… the bass player was playing a Ric through a Trace with a 4x10 cab… and the tone was absolutely perfect. 👍
  20. Sweet P Brian 😎
  21. And stop desperately seeking money, he better seek Susan. 😉🤔😂
  22. We've put out an album of Huey Lewis covers imaginatively called, The News.
  23. I bought this very recently, brand new either gig bag, case candy etc.. it is a truly gorgeous bit of kit, but after using it for a couple of practices on a couple of songs is not for me. It is in as new condition, has a set of LaBella White Nylons on (plus will include factory strings) I paid £949 plus £70 for the LB’s, If a fellow Basschatter wants it, I would let it go for £749.00 Cheers Stuart
  24. ***PRICE DROP NOW £1300*** 2010 US Stingray, 2EQ, CAR with rosewood board. One of the limited edition 133 basses, full fat ‘ray but with a soft gig bag case instead of a hard shell job. This is in excellent condition with one very minor ding on the top edge, and the pickguard is quite marked but obviously easily replaceable. Comes with a Hipshot D-tuner (long key though instead of short… doh), if you want the original tuner key I’ll chuck it in. I’ve also replaced the pickup with a Nordstrand MM4.2, which sounds flippin’ great. She’s quite heavy (10lb) but with a decent wide strap it feels ok. ***EDIT*** now comes with the option of a Warwick Rockbass semi-rigid case - photos added. Loathe to post this but can at buyer’s (insured) expense, or can meet in person at either Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington (I’m on the I.O.W.)

  26. That's very kind of you to offer. I guess I'd have to somehow find out if it's actually there. I'll investigate. Thank you.
