Much better than the cricket bat style Steinbergers to my taste. Can we get NS and whoever specced the new Jackson Rhodes sharkfin bass in the same room and see what they come up with though

The 400rb on its own as a head is amazing, I thought of taking the head out of a combo and making a new head and ditching the rest of the combo but I’d have to make an outer case.

clearly hadn’t been set up in quite some time, so everything was initially a bit stiff. As I mentioned, now strings have settled in, I’ve backed the truss rod and lowered the bridge saddles. everything working as it should. as for not drinking any more beer, that I cannot advise you on, as I’m a whisky drinker myself. -

With an A neck on the P5, obv.

I get the pre CBS thing. I desire one. I have a Jan 5th 66 J. I am fully aware that (bound neck and machine heads notwithstanding) it is to all purposes exactly like a pre CBS one. I like the look of that faded paint, the gloss has gone, it does not need looking after aesthetically. All that stuff is very attractive. I would like a pre CBS because when I was growing up if it was not pre CBS then it was not worth looking at. This is what the cool kids/gatekeepers told me. We all know that is not true, but that narrative has stuck with me. Formative years and all that. Interestingly I have owned 3 Bravewoods. They all scratched exactly the same itches as my 66J does. Of course, YMMV, but for me it triggered the same "Ahhh and Ooooh" responses as my 66. Exactly the same. If only Mr Bravewood would build me a J5 and a P5.

Nope, the guy, Gregor Fris, is small, that's why he's always filmed from a high angle on his videos.😉

Showing a price of 229 euros for me? I thought they were 79 quid. I can wait for that price jump

Has he actually asked what you think or, are you worried that he might? If he's already asked, how was it left? It's not really clear in the post. I have been in this situation and when my opinion was sought, I said, (laughing) I'd never ask that question in case I got an answer I didn't like. My friend then expanded a little and explained why he'd asked, he was totally aware that there were problems in his band and was actually looking for confirmation. Then, I could be honest. -
In the words of a T shirt seen recently.. you had me at cheese scones (the T shirt said “country mansion and jetset lifestyle” but cheese scones is fairly close)

Probably due to choice of lens and camera setup - it appears enormous compared to Mr. BassTheWorld.

This is a very good quality plate, made by Fatboy Guitars Ltd. in Newport England, probably about 20 years ago. I have had it in a drawer for years and never even removed the plastic film so it is in new unmarked condition. The colour is a very pale mint green to my eyes which is not captured in the photos. Price includes UK postage.

We played a charity gig last night. Furthest one from home (about 1.5hrs). 40 min set in a town hall. can’t say it was mobbed but it was pretty fun. Used dark ray into my QC and the sound guy was chuffed. Random amp onstage for DI (which was set flat). Some weird screaming from my IEMs and my guitarist seemed to lose his guitar in his mix. We haven’t figured why… Overall, happy!

And most people who want a bongo (and I was one), don't really know what a real bongo is like until they have one. This looks the part, and sure its a bit expensive new but will be a lot cheaper second hand, so this gets you a long way there. Indeed, there are plenty of ray like things, including the sires and harley bentons. I have an OLP as well which I play quite a lot.
